Chef Fabio Viviani Brings Comfort, Relief, and Tuscan Flare into Your Homes (giveaway ends 10/26/13)

Chef Fabio Viviani comfort mat

Do you spend a lot of time in your kitchen? Whether its preparing meals, cooking, or even doing the dishes, sometimes you spend a lot of time on your feet in the kitchen. Being on your feet for a long time can be uncomfortable.

I’d like to introduce you to a new line of products that will provide some comfort and relief when standing for a long time in your kitchen, bathroom or other rooms in your home. They are Fabio Viviani Comfort Mats by Smart Step Home.

Loving to cook doesn’t necessarily mean loving to stand, which is why restaurateur and Top Chef Fabio Viviani is celebrating the kick-off of his first ever, exclusively designed product line: Fabio Viviani Comfort Mats by Smart Step Home.

Fabio has been cooking in kitchens since he was eleven-years-old in Florence, Italy. His passion for good cooking and Tuscan culture has worked wonders for his successful career as a professional chef, but has also taken a serious toll on his feet, legs, and back. It was time to start taking his aching limbs as seriously as his taste buds—so he teamed up with Smart Step Home and designed his first-ever line of Tuscan-inspired Comfort Mats.

Fabio designed his Comfort Mats with both health and home in mind. Each mat is engineered to enhance comfort and relieve muscular aches associated with prolonged standing. Comfort Mats are ideal for any high-traffic areas of the home benefiting all ages including even slouching teenagers, promoting better posture. Beveled edges make Comfort Mats both trip-proof and wheelchair-friendly. The SmartTech Polyurethane material is heat, tear, puncture, and spill resistant making for easy clean up (and did we mention pet proof?). Comfort Mats will never curl or wear and will return back to their original shape after every use.

“Feet down” Fabio Viviani Comfort Mats are the best gift you can give to aching feet. Fabio loves using his Comfort Mats (and refuses not to!) in his kitchen, multiple restaurants, and test kitchens during his demos. His secret ingredient to all his winning dishes? Its comfort—thanks to his new line of Comfort Mats.

I had the opportunity to try out one of the mats in my kitchen.

Comfort Mat by Chef Fabio Viviani

The mat is a generous size to provide me (or my hubby) with a lot of space to stand on. I opted to put it in front of the sink because we seem to stand there the most doing dishes. I had toyed with the idea of putting it in the bathroom in front of the sink but our bathroom is light in color and I figured the chocolate brown mat would standout too much.

The mat is very soft to stand on. It reminds me of those mattresses that are made of a special sponge-like material that bounces back after you push down on it (for the life of me I cannot remember the name of the product). When you step on the mat you can feel the softness under your feet. The moment you step off the mat regains its shape. We step on this many times per day and it looks just as good as it did the first day I laid it down.

The mat is made in a way where you wouldn’t trip over it. It hugs the floor and appears to have a non-slip surface on the bottom of it. We have never had an issue with this slipping or moving.

A couple of our cats and even our dog enjoy lying on the mat. They find it very comfortable too. 🙂

I like that the mat is easy to wash off. I just spray it with a little all purpose cleaner and wipe it off with a rag or paper towel. You can even vacuum the top of it if you need to.

The mat does make a difference when standing a long time in the kitchen. It is very comforting on your feet. It’s a wonderful addition to our kitchen décor too. I really like how it looks. The mat is available in different colors. Right now they are “Earth” tones. Perhaps they will offer different colors one day such as blues, greens, and reds so that they can match anyone’s décor or color scheme.

You can use the mat in your kitchen, bathroom, work bench area or any place in your home where you find yourself on your feet for a long period of time.

The Comfort Mats retails for $99.99 and is available for purchase online at SmartStepHome.com, FabioViviani.com and select retailers nationwide. All Mats are backed with a 7 year warranty and are proudly produced here in the USA.
