Tomorrow night at 8:00 PM (EST) on ABC comes the first made for TV special from Disney•Pixar featuring the beloved characters from the Toy Story trilogy. The special is called Toy Story OF TERROR!
Follow Buzz, Woody, Jessie, Mr. Potato Head and others as they try to escape from someone – or some THING – that is snatching up all the toys at the hotel they are forced to spend the night in.
Toy Story OF TERROR! features the voice talents of Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), Joan Cusack (Jessie), Carl Weathers (Combat Carl/Combat Carl Jr.), Timothy Dalton (Mr. Pricklepants), Don Rickles (Mr. Potato Head), Wallace Shawn (Rex) and Kristen Schall (Trixie).
I had the opportunity to check out the special. I was happy to see that Bonnie, the littler girl that Andy bequeathed all his beloved toys to, was in this mini-movie. I’m excited about that because that gives me hope that perhaps there will be more Toy Story movies or even more made for TV specials. It was nice to see some of Bonnie’s toys had returned too (Trixie, Mr. Pricklepants).
For a made for TV episode that quality of the animation was amazing.
There are a few other toy characters that pop up during the mini-movie. Keep an eye out for the Pez dispenser. He cracked me up. Especially towards the end when he does something funny.
This is a fun mini-movie to watch with the whole family. It’s meant to have a spooky/creepy element to it in lieu of this being Halloween season. However it’s not scary at all. Young and old will be thoroughly entertained in this half hour special. Especially if you are a fan of Toy Story.
Mark you calendar, set your TIVO or DVR and get ready for Disney•Pixar’s Toy Story OF TERROR! airing tomorrow night (October 16, 2013) at 8:00 PM (EST) on ABC. Please check you local TV guide listings for channel information.
