We have decorations inside our home (along with a few Thanksgiving ones). The day after Thanksgiving we’ll pack away our Thanksgiving décor and put up our Christmas tree. I know it’s early, but we enjoy our tree and ornaments and want to have some time to enjoy them. 🙂
We have an artificial tree (16 years old and counting…). One day we want to get a real tree. The only reason why we don’t do it now is because the only place to put the tree in our condo is in front of the sliding glass doors. We get direct sunlight pretty much all day long and we know it will dry out the tree quickly. I am terrified of fire starting from dried needles and Christmas lights. So I rather wait until we can put the tree elsewhere in our condo.
Our tree is OK, but I do miss the smell, look and feel of a REAL tree. I used to have one when I lived at home with my parents. It was a lot of fun picking out the tree and setting it up at home. I miss that.
I found one way to give me the look, smell and feel of a real tree – sort of.
Christmas Forest was kind enough to send me a B-E-A-U-T-F-U-L handmade wreath.
Christmas Forest’s hand-crafted Christmas wreaths flood your senses with the aroma of fresh Noble Fir and Princess Pines, and conjuring images of warm Christmas memories on cold winter nights. Ideal for your own home, as a gift for that special someone, or as a corporate gift, Christmas Forest’s exquisite wreaths and holiday swags are handmade with only the freshest evergreens, Juniper Berries and Yellow Incense Buds—all harvested in accordance with their commitment to protecting the rainforest ecosystem for future generations. Lovingly created, sealed and shipped the same day, your wreath is guaranteed to arrive as forest fresh as the Cascades themselves. This year, capture the very essence of the season with an amazing Christmas wreath from Christmas Forest.
I was so excited when Christmas Forest said they would send me a wreath to review. 🙂
I received the North Pole Wreath. It arrived in a big box and wrapped lovingly in plastic (I assume to preserve it’s freshness). The only thing I needed to do was attach the ribbon which was wrapped separately.
My husband thought I was crazy because I kept touching it and smelling it. It was so excited about this wreath. I have never had a real wreath before. I think this is a great substitution for a real tree. It gives me the look, feel and smell of a tree, without having to buy a real tree.
The wreath looks much better in person. The colors are more rich than they are in the photo.
I am very impressed with how well made the wreath is. You can move it around and nothing falls off or comes lose. I find it impressive because it’s made by hand and shipped out in the same day. It’s not like someone made this weeks ago and it’s been sitting on a shelf waiting to ship. This wreath was made for me the day is ship. It’s clear to me that this wreath was lovingly made too. The wreath maker didn’t skimp or use short cuts to get it done.
I love the real pinecones. When the wreath is no longer usable I am going to keep the pinecones and re-purpose them in other holiday décor.
We put the wreath up on our balcony so that our neighbors can see it. I was going to put it on our door but the hallway in our condo building tends to be hot and I didn’t want it to dry out quickly. So I had my hubby put it in the center of our balcony so that everyone can see it. A few of our neighbors have already told us how pretty it is. Most of them can’t believe it’s real.
I even adore the bow that the wreath came with. I plan on re-purposing this as well.
I really like the idea of giving a wreath as a gift. It’s not a typical gift, so I think it would really stand out and the recipient will remember your lovely gift for years to come. In addition, every time they look and smell the wreath they will probably be thinking about you as well.
The wreaths range in price from around $37 to $52, depending on the design and materials used. Christmas Forest has wreaths to suit anyone on your holiday shopping list. Here are just a few examples, including a plain wreath that you can decorate yourself and add your own personal touch to.
Wreaths are shipped FREE within the continental US via UPS ground.
In addition to their lovely wreaths, Christmas Forest sells other handmade treasure such as garland and other holiday décor. I especially love the Farmer’s Basket. That would look beautiful on a mantel or dining room table as a centerpiece.
Christmas Forest also carries a nice assortment of ornaments.
This holiday season if you are at a loss as to what to gift that special someone in your life, why not give the them the gift of a holiday wreath from Christmas Forest.

This has been a terrible year for us-Hubby has work troubles, my Dad died of cancer, my Mom was diagnosed with cancer, I had major surgery months ago and caught a nasty infection in the hospital that I am still dealing with. We could just really use a bit of cheer-thanks and Happy Holidays to you 🙂
