Great holiday recipes and more from Krusteaz & Catherine McCord #KrusteazHolidays

Catherine McCord

Did you happen to attend the Krusteaz Virtual  Seize the Holidays webcast this afternoon (Saturday, December 14)? I hope so! There were A LOT of great recipes featured as well as indispensable cooking and baking tips.

Krusteaz had sent me some of their product mixes that were featured in the webcast. I had planned on baking/cooking right along the webcast host, Catherine McCord (Weelicious blogger & author), but my “assistant” (my daughter) has been home sick and is still sick. Someone having a sick person baking and cooking in the kitchen is not a good idea. LOL!

Recipes that were showcased in the webcast that I am going to make are the Gingerbread Waffles with Cream Cheese Frosting, Cornbread Stuffing on a Stick (I was thinking of making it as muffins instead and adding some turkey or chicken) and the gifts in a jar.

The gifts in a jar ideas featured in the webcast are not only super easy to make but they would also make wonderful gifts. Catherine shared a recipe for Strawberry Cream pancakes (with white chocolate!) as a gift in a jar idea. Mmmm!!!!

Seeing how easy it was the make the gifts in a jar I am inspired to create my own for family and friends. I have a lot of Bell jars that I can use.

Gifts in a jar are also great additions to gift baskets.

If you happened to miss the webcast you can watch it at www.Krusteaz.com/Holidays. Not only can you revisit the tips and ideas that Catherine shared, but you can also get the links the recipes that were showcased in the webcast –

  • Gingerbread Waffles with Cream Chees Frosting
  • Cornbread Stuffing on a Stick
  • Crumb Cake Muffing Donuts (baked not fried)
  • PB&J Layer Cake
  • Ham and Cheese Muffins (made with beer!)

The entire webcast lasted for just shy of two hours, so make sure to set aside some time to watch it from beginning to end. I plan on watching it again because there are a few tips and suggestions that I want to write down so I don’t forget.

In addition to the webcast you should look into entering the Seize the Holidays contest. Simply take your favorite Krusteaz mix, add three additional ingredients to create your own recipes and submit it. Every entry gets a coupon for a FREE Krusteaz product. The winner of the contest gets a kitchen makeover!

To learn more about the contest visit Krusteaz.com or the Krusteaz Facebook page.

Be on the look out for my recipes. I am going to re-create some of the recipes that were showcased in the webcast with my daughter. I’ll be sure to post about them here.

I recently tried Krusteaz for the first time during thanksgiving. I made a pumpkin loaf and it came out so good. I usually turn to Pillsbury or Betty Crocker, but this was BOGO free. I loved it. Simply enough I also like the marketing of the product box over similar items. It just seems like more of a true baked good if you are gin g the boxed route.

    Gingerbread pancakes sound great
