There are certain things that I enjoy eating that MUST have butter on them. I try and limit the amount of butter and margarine that I eat but something things MUST have butter on them or they simply don’t taste as good. Foods like pasta (unless I am using a sauce), rolls, bagels and bread need butter. I can substitute jams and jellies for the breads, but it’s not the same.
Right now I could go for a warm roll, fresh out of the oven, with a pat of melted butter. Mmm… that sounds so good.
Have you had the opportunity to try out the new spreads from I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® and Country Crock®? Both I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® Deliciously Simple™ and Country Crock® Simply Delicious are made with real and simple ingredients. They are also made with a blend of canola oil and creamy yogurt with just a pinch of salt. There are no artificial preservatives in either spread.
I had the opportunity to try out both spreads with my family.
I love how creamy they are. They both spread easily on a slice of bread. Sometimes butter or spreads are not creamy enough and it tears apart the bread as you are spreading it on. That was not the case with either of these spreads. Both went on a piece of bread easily. Even before tasting them you can tell how creamy they are. I’m sure that has something to do with the yogurt.
If you don’t like yogurt don’t worry. You can’t really taste yogurt. As I mentioned previously I think it’s used to make the spreads creamy and more “spreadable”.
Unlike other spreads and butters, these spreads remain soft and spreadable straight from the fridge. You don’t have to wait for it to warm up a bit. They are ready to enjoy the moment you take them out of the refrigerator.
I have tried both spreads on bagels, a delicious cranberry raisin bread that I picked up from the local bakery, regular white and wheat breads and on rolls.
These spreads are not just for breads. They are also delicious on pasta (three cheese tortellini) and vegetables too. I don’t normally use anything on vegetables but something I enjoy something on top of Brussels sprouts and baby carrots.
Try either one of these spreads on hot mashed potatoes too. Mmmm… so good! Baked potatoes too!
We use Country Crock® all the time. I actually prefer Country Crock® Simply Delicious because it’s more “user friendly”. It’s ready to go straight from the fridge and it melts faster than regular Country Crock®.
The real test came when I had my family try them out. My hubby and daughter are very picky. Both of them enjoyed I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter!® Deliciously Simple™ and Country Crock® Simply Delicious. My son enjoys just about everything I set in front of him. 🙂
Both spreads are made with NO trans fats. I like that. Especially when I am trying to adopt a more healthier lifestyle. Both my husband and I are trying to keep our cholesterol levels in check too and both spreads contain NO cholesterol per serving either. Both are made with partially hydrogenated oils.
This time of year many people make resolutions to eat healthier, exercise and lose weight. If you are one of those people you’ll be happy to know that both spreads are only 100 calories per delicious serving (1 tablespoon).

I like that they’re both easily spreadable. That’s my biggest beef with spreads: they kill bread.

We love Country Crock, but I didn’t realize they had new spreads to try.

I am not much of a butter eater. I have used the ICNINB spray to spritz veggies, but I swear by cream cheese. I guess where people use butter, I would use either cream cheese or ketchup. Cream cheese i love on any type,of bread and then on potatos I need ketchup. My parents use the spreads though and they love them.

We usually have a tub of Country Crock or I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter in the fridge. I notice that with the new spreads one is Simply Delicious and the other is Deliciously Simple, cute. It will be great to start off the new year eating healthier with these new spreads. Thank you for this review.
