Last week I shared information about a new sweepstakes that Skinny Cow has going on right now that benefits the organization Dress for Success Worldwide. Dress for Success is a non-profit organization that helps low income women find careers.
“Dress for Success has given thousands of women the confidence to walk into a job interview, ready to kick start their career and gain economic independence that is so critical to their home life and our communities,” said Joi Gordon, Chief Executive Officer of Dress for Success. “With the generous donation from the Skinny Cow brand, the women we serve can grow personally and professionally, excelling in the work place and feeling great about their accomplishments.”
The contest is sweepstakes is called Resolve to Indulge. It’s a fitting name for this time of year when many people have resolved to do things like eat healthy, lose weight and exercise more.
One of the reasons why weight related resolutions fail is because people limit themselves and feel like a failure if they have so much as a cookie. Many people will toss their healthy eating resolution out the window if they so much as eat one little thing that they see as “wrong”.
In order to succeed in a healthy eating plan or weight loss plan is to allow yourself to indulge from time to time. If you don’t allow yourself to enjoy some yummy treats from time to time you are going to be miserable.
The Resolve to Indulge sweepstakes wants consumers to resolve to indulge and enjoy the sweet treats in life from time to time. This doesn’t mean that you need to indulge every day (although a little daily treat is fine), but at least enjoy an indulgent treat a few times per week.
Entering the Resolve to Indulge sweepstakes is easy. Simply upload up to 5 bar codes (daily) from Skinny Cow products on the Resolve to Indulge website, www.ResolvetoIndulge.com. You can enter daily for your chance to win daily prizes such as gift cards, coupons for Skinny Cow products and Skinny Cow swag.
The grand prize winner will receive a brand new pair of shoes every week for an entire year!
Skinny Cow is going to match the grand prize by donating 52 pairs of shoes to the Dress for Success program as well as a check for $100,000. That is awesome! The funds will go towards helping and inspiring women to achieve success in their lives and careers.
I’m a long time fan of Skinny Cow products. My family does too.
I’ve received to review some Skinny Cow products. Most of them I already purchase for my family from time to time.
My favorite Skinny Cow products from those I have tried to date are their ice cream candy bars. Have you tried them yet? Oh my! Talk about indulgent!
Skinny Cow Salted Caramel Pretzel Ice Cream Candy Bars – Vanilla low-fat ice cream topped with a layer of salty caramel and small pieces of pretzels all covered in a chocolatey coating.
Skinny Cow Cookies ‘n Dough Ice Cream Candy Bars – Vanilla low-fat ice cream topped with a cookie dough layer and crunchy cookie bites with a smooth chocolatey covering.
The bars are about the size of a regular candy bar too. My favorite is the Salted Caramel Pretzel flavor. It combines the sweet and creamy Skinny Cow ice cream with crispy, slightly salty pretzels. You get creamy, crunchy, salty and sweet all in one bite. It helps to knock out a bunch of cravings in one shot.
Something new from Skinny Cow that we haven’t tried yet are their ganache filled ice cream cones. They come in chocolate and mint varieties. Each cone is 160 calories and contains 2.5 grams of fat. They even contain fiber!
Delish! That is the only way to describe these bars. The mint version is REALLY good.
In the middle of each cone is a rich chocolate “spot”. It’s like they popped a chunk of chocolate in the middle. That is my favorite part of the ice cream cone.
Another favorite product of ours is the Skinny Cow Divine Filled Chocolates. They are creamy squares of chocolate filled with either peanut butter or caramel. Each box comes with six individual packets. Each packet has three pieces of chocolate. These are not tiny pieces either. They are good size pieces of chocolates that take a few bites to eat.
My kids take these to school or enjoy them after dinner as a dessert. Because they are individually wrapped you can take them on the go with you to the gym, office, or running errands.
Each 3-piece packet contains 130 calories. A popular brand name chocolate bar is 230 calories and 18 grams of fat (the Skinny Cow Divine Chocolates only have 7 grams of fat).
The Skinny Cow chocolates don’t taste like “diet” chocolate either. They may be lower in fat and calories than other chocolates, but they are certainly not lacking in flavor.
Shhh… don’t tell my family but I keep a box on my desk for when those chocolate cravings hit. If they know about them they will gobble them up on me.
