My family loves SpongeBob Squarepants, although I have to admit that I haven’t always liked the show. In the beginning I thought it was rather silly and I couldn’t understand it’s appeal. My kids started to watch it first. Then my husband got into the show. When I saw how much my family laughed at it I decided to watch a few episodes to see what all the hoopla was about. I found it to be funny too and have been watching it ever since.
Whenever there is nothing to watch on TV (referring to our favorite shows or a movie on one of the premium channels), SpongeBob Squarepants is our “go-to” show.
I had the opportunity to talk to the voice of SpongeBob, Tom Kenny, twice. One on the phone when I did a phone interview with him. The other time was in person when I met him at the Frankenweenie “white carpet” premiere. He is really nice. He’s not stuck up like some celebrities can be. He’s very down to Earth and super sweet. 🙂
We have a lot of SpongeBob Squarepants DVDs including holiday ones.
Even though SpongeBob is the main character you can’t forget the other residents of Bikini Bottom including Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Plankton and Sandy. They often have episodes that focus more on them then SpongeBob.
Nickelodeon wanted to recognize the other residents of Bikini Bottom by releasing special DVDs that include all the episodes that the character was the star of. The first DVD released is dedicated to SpongeBob’s trusty (and silly) side kick Patrick Starfish.
Enjoy fourteen Star-centric episodes featuring best buddies SpongeBob and Patrick. Buckle up for a bubbly ride with over three hours of laughs in school, at work and at play with Patrick and SpongeBob including the celebration of Best Friends Day. It’s a treasure for any SpongeBob SquarePants fan with favorite episodes, cover art chosen by the fans themselves, and collectible packaging, while supplies last.
Here is the list of episodes found on the DVD.

Even though we watch SpongeBob Squarepants a lot there are several episodes on the DVD that I don’t recall seeing before. A few my kids said they saw (but my husband and I didn’t) and a couple that my kids never saw either.
This DVD is available TODAY (January 14, 2014) where most DVDs are sold. The suggested retail price is $14.99 and it has a run time of approximately 192 minutes.
