I am enjoying being a brand ambassador for Rite Aid. Over the past few months they have sent me some pretty amazing products to review. Most of the products I love and have purchased more of these products since receiving them for review.
This past month I received a lot of wonderful products, especially hair care products, to try out and review. Some of them I absolutely love.
Pictured above is the package of goodies I received. Below are my thoughts about each product.
Marc Anthony 3 Day Curls Curl It Up Styling Spray – This spray was made specifically for curly hair. It’s enriched with soy bean and Shea butter to help add moisture. It also contains silk amino acids to help smooth the hairs cuticles along with Vitamin E to help create a healthy shine.
My thoughts: This spray is suppose to help your curls stay in shape for up to three days, or until you wash your hair. My hair is very thick, course and wavy. I don’t really have curls. I tried the spray a few times but didn’t notice much of a difference in my hair. It also left my hair feeling a bit heavy and as if it was coated with something.
Rock Your Hair Volumizing Spray for Fine Hair – This spray adds volume to your hair from the roots to the ends as well as control frizz and add shine.
My thoughts: I have thick, course hair so I don’t really need volume. I’ve been using this as a lightweight hairspray. It helps to hold my hair in place and lets me comb through without my comb getting stuck. It’s not a true hairspray, but it does have some hold to it. It does help control the frizz too.
I LOVE the rhinestone heart on the bottle.
L’Oreal Volume Filler – This is a thickening agent to help add volume to your hair that lasts through five washes. There are three tubes (ampoules) in each box, enough for three weeks.
My thoughts: I didn’t like this product. It made my hair feel weird – almost sticky I also have thick hair and I don’t have a problem with volume. Although this was not for me it might work better for someone with thin, fine hair. Everyone in my family has thick hair so I was unable to get a family member to review it for me.
Renpure BB Cream Shampoo & Conditioner – These are not mousse, nor are they foam. They are more like a gel consistency. Their unique formulat helps repair microscopic damage to your hair before it spreads to other areas.
My thoughts: I like these products. They remind me of a shaving gel. A little goes a long way so make sure you don’t over spray them into your hand. I made that mistake the first time I tried these products. I pumped out too much.
Zero Frizz – A treatment that will leave your hair soft, smooth, silky and frizz free.
My thoughts: I love this product! I use it just about every day. You only need a little bit. I pump a dime size amount into my hand, rub my hands together, then apply to the ends of my hair. If I need more I just use a dime size amount at a time.
This leaves your hair feeling so soft and smooth. It doesn’t weigh your hair down either.
Unlike other frizz serums, with Zero Frizz you get a huge bottle (most frizz serums come in tiny bottles).
OGX Surf Paste – This paste is made with Moraccan argan oil and sea kelp to condition your hair. Sea salt helps to seperate your hair. This paste helps you to create a “beach hair” look.
My thoughts: It didn’t really work with my hair. My hair is very thick. I think this would work better with short or thin hair. It kind of reminds me of the stuff I used to use on my son’s hair to make it look “spikey” on top.
Burt’s Bees Brightening Cream & Dark Spot Corrector with Daisy Extract – These products are suppose to help even your skin tone and help eliminate dark spots and discoloration.
My thoughts: I have been using both products every day since I received them. The Dark Spot Corrector is a liquid (almost like water). You can’t even tell it’s on your skin once it’s applied.
The Moisturizing Cream is thick and rich. It is also lightweight on your skin. I don’t even notice I’m wearing it.
I haven’t noticed any significant improvement to the spots on my face – but – I do feel like my skin looks brigher and more radiant. It doesn’t look as dull and drab as it used to.
So far I am pleased with the results.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Balms – These colorful lip balms come in different styles – matte, stain and high shine.
My thoughts: I love using lip “pencils” (these are like pencils) instead of traditional dial up lipsticks. I feel like these go on easier and more precise. I have control over where it goes.
The matte finish one I was sent to review is too orange for my skin tone, but I do like the matte finish. It gives your lips color without being overly shiny.
The other lip balms are colors better suited for my skin tone. I am loving the colors. They both go on quickly and easily and last a long time. They also don’t dry out my lips like other lip products do.
I prefer a “stain” over other lip coloring products. Because I have very fair skin I don’t want a lot of color on my lips. I feel it stands out too much. With a stain it gives you a touch of color without it being “overkill”.
Revlon ColorStay Shadow Links and Eye Shadow – The ColorStay Shadow Links click together to allow you to form your own color palettes.
The other Eyes Shadow pictured helps you to get that “smokey eye” look easily. Each color is labeled so you know where to apply it. It’s a “no brainer” and makes achieving that sexy smoky eye look easier than every.
My thoughts: I love the eye shadow colors. My ColorStay Shadow Links wouldn’t stay together. They have grooves on the side that allows you to slid another one in next to it. The only thing is that they slide undone if you go and move them. I would only link 2-3 together at the most.
I like their compact size. They are perfect for when you travel or to tuck inside your gym bag or purse for a quick touch-up.
I haven’t had the occasion to create a smoky eye look. I’m hoping I will toward the end of month for my birthday (hubby is taking me out to dinner).
Revlon Photoready Skinlights – This product helps to give you a healthy glow. There are light capturing crystals and photomatic pigments inside the lotion.
My thoughts: I love this product. I have also been using this ever since I received it. The product doesn’t have a color. It goes on clear but I do feel like it helps your skin look healthier and more luminous. I feel like my skin looks “fresh” too.
Rite Aid Lip Balm – Just like EOS lipbalm these flavorful lipbalms come in a cute little “egg” shape, but are much more “budget friendly”.
My thoughts: My daughter loves to collect EOS lip balms. She has several of them but they are pricey. I love that there is a less expensive alternative.
I was going to give this to my daughter but I ended up keeping it. I love the scent and taste of this (Strawberry Sherbert). I also love that it’s small enough to fit inside my purse or pocket for on the go touch-ups. It keeps my lips feeling soft and hydrated too.
Wet & Wild Mega Rocks Glitter and Revlon Perfumerie Nail Polish – As you can see from the photo the Wet & Wild Mega Rocks nail polish features big, bold specs of glitter.
The Revlon Perfumerie Nail Polish is SCENTED! It comes in a variety of colors and scents.
My thoughts: The Wet & Wild nail polish rocks! My daughter was wearing is a couple of weeks ago and it really drew attention to her nails, especially in the sunlight. The big specs of glitter really stand out. It’s cool! If you want to rock a look be sure to pick up a matching nail color in Mega Rocks Glitter.
I was surprised by the Revlon Perfumerie Nail Polish. It doesn’t really smell when you sniff the bottle but once applied to your nails and it dries it does have an interesting scent. The scent lasted for a few days too.
I honestly didn’t think that this nail polish would have a pleasant scent to it. Most nail polishes smell toxic to me. Not this one. I left a nice, subtle scent. The nail polish also goes on very well. Only one to two coats are needed at the most. I LOVE the color too!
Not pictured are Rite Aid’s Brand In-Soles with Geo-Gel Cushioned shoes inserts (it’s pictured at the top of this post). I have these in a pair of my sneakers and they feel so nice on your feet. Being overweight I think I put a bit strain on my feet. These gel inserts make my feet feel less tired and achy at the end of the day.
Compared to similar shoe inserts these are much more budget friendly and they work as well as the brand name products.
Also not pictured is Zyrtec Allergy Pills. These have been a lifesaver. Normally allergies don’t bother me that much but this spring has been awful! The Zyrtec has really been a relief for me. My allergies are not as bad when I take the Zyrtec.
Did you know that Rite Aid has a special wellness + allergy program? Every time you spend $75+ on select allergy products from Johnson & Johnson – like Zyrtec – you’ll earn $20 in Up Rewards. To learn more visit your local Rite Aid store. You can also learn more about it here – wellness + Allergy Rite Aid Program.

My hair has turned quite curly for some reason and I use the Strictly Curls lotion with good results. I’ve never used spray. We don’t have a Rite Aid close to home so I don’t shop there much, but I like it!
