I am a brand ambassador for Rite Aid. Each month they send me new products that are available at Rite Aid stores to try out and review. It’s a fun way to discover new products and finding new favorites. Over the past few months I have reviewed several products that I have enjoyed so much that I now buy them all the time.
I love that Rite Aid sends me brand new products on the market so that I can share news about them with readers. I hope it’s a great way for readers to discover new products they want to try too.
Here are some of the products I had the opportunity to try out this month.
Nexium 24 Hour
Nexium 24HR, the #1 doctor prescribed acid blocker brand to treat frequent heartburn, is now available over-the-counter. And you can save up to $15 with wellness+ Rewards for Relief only at Rite Aid. When you buy Nexium 24HR 42ct with your wellness+ card today, you will receive a $5 coupon off your next purchase up to a total of three coupons or $15. Complete details are
available on RiteAid.com/Nexium24hr.
I honestly did not try this product out. No one in my family suffers from regular heartburn. I do know that some people do suffer regularly. It’s good to know that Rite Aid has special savings available for those who use Nexium.
Megaslicks Lip Balm Stain from Wet n Wild is enriched with Acai Palm Oil to form a protective shield that prevents feathering while it conditions your lips. You’ll love the minty, cooling sensation.
I’m not a lipstick person. I prefer colored lip gloss or a lip stain. I find that lipstick dries out my lips, plus it tends to wear off quickly and it gets all over everything.
Normally I wear lip gloss but on occasion I like to add color to my lips. I like that lip stains add color without “coating” my lips like lipstick does. Plus it lasts longer.
I received a new Megaslicks to try out. Mine came in the color Rico Mauve. I thought it might be too dark for my very pale skin. Instead I think it worked out perfectly. It gives my lips a subtle color.
The pencil like lip stain makes it easy to apply and “stay in the lines” (meaning not getting it all over your lips). It also lasts a good amount of time and it doesn’t dry out my lips at all. I find it very moisturizing.
Rite Aid has a special “spend $30 and get a $10 +UP” lip offer campaign going on until the end of June. Protect your hair from the sun and the pool with the Damage Eraser line from Garnier Fructis. These innovative products help reconstruct your hair’s strength from root to tip. The shampoo and conditioner repair damage from within and protect your hair from future damage. Split-End Bandage is a leave-in treatment that helps prevent split ends, protects against heat damage and
reconstructs and preserves your hair’s strength. Strength Reconstructing Butter protects your hair from future damage.
I have been using these products for the past few weeks. I don’t really have split ends but that doesn’t mean that I never get them. I would like to make sure my hair doesn’t get split ends if possible.
I really like the Strength Reconstructing Butter. I like how I can control how little or how much I want/need and apply it exactly where I need it.
Both the shampoo and butter rinse out easily and leave your hair really soft and clean feeling.
I only use the Split-End Bandage on my ends if I am going to use the hair dryer. Otherwise I just let my hair dry naturally which I don’t think I need the Split-End Bandage for.
Heat from hair dryers, curling irons and flat irons can do so much damage to your hair that it’s always a good idea to add a layer of protection. It’s also recommended that you use a leave in conditioner in your hair when you use the pool or swim in the ocean to add extra protection against the chemicals in the pool and the salt from the ocean water.
Voluminous Miss Manga from L’Oreal creates a fun and bold eye effect with volume from top to bottom. The 360 flexor brush amplifies upper lashes and maximizes bottom lashes for oversized degrees of volume.
This is an unusual mascara. The wand bends. I honestly don’t see why there is a need for a want that bends. It took me several tries to get used to it. Now I’m OK with it but when I started out it was weird.
The brush part looks different then what I am accustomed to. It looks a bit mangled, but it’s suppose to look that way. I think that is because it’s supposed to help grab all of your lashes.
I like the narrow end on the brush. It helps me to apply mascara on my bottom lashes (which are sparse for me) and in the corners of my upper lashes.
The mascara does give your lashes a lot of length, even for people like me with less than adequate lashes. It gives you length more so than volume. Some refer to it as the “spider lashes” look.
I tried to get a good photo of my lashes but it was hard to get a good shot with my cellphone.
The mascara can clump from time to time. I find that if I run a lash brush through it afterwards it takes care of any clumps and helps to separate my lashes too.
We know that as the woman in a relationship, you have a lot of impact on the fragrance your significant other chooses. We thought we would share British Sterling’s H.I.M Private Stock and Reserve with you. H.I.M. Private Stock is for confident men but the kind of confidence that doesn’t overpower. H.I.M. Reserve is sophisticated with the right level of playfulness.
I find these colognes interesting. They are made for men but I honestly think that a woman could get away with wearing them too. They don’t have a musky, “manly” smell to them. At least not in my opinion.
These scents are light and clean.
Initially I thought they smelled identical to each other but after a minute or two you can clearly smell that they are different. Private Stock is a bit lighter and Reserve has a really nice scent (Reserve is my favorite of the two).
My husband and son both like them. My son is only 14 (he’ll be 15 in a few months). He likes to wear cologne but I worry that it might be too strong or overpowering for him – especially if he wears it to school. Both of these scents have a “young” quality to them and are fine for him to wear to school. He’s even got a few compliments from his classmates – both boys and girls (mostly girls) that they like the scent.
As far as men’s colognes go these scents are unlike anything I have smelled before. I think these would be great for the summer.
Designed to be used nightly, this leave-on facial mask re-tones elasticity, re-firms facial contours and repairs wrinkles while you sleep. Unlike traditional masks that can feel hard or tight on your skin, this lightweight cream absorbs weightlessly into the skin. Elasti-flex, a revolutionary polymer complex, forms an invisible mask so by morning your skin looks and feels younger.
I haven’t noticed any visible changes since I started using this product as far as wrinkles go, but it’s only been a few weeks.
This cream goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy, tight or sticky.
In the morning my skin feels soft and looks healthier (not ruddy or worn out like it usually does). I don’t necessarily think I look younger, but my skin does look better. I am confident that a few more week using Revitalift and my skin will look really good.
Sally Hansen’s Triple Shine is great for your active summer days. The gloss is protected with the exclusive Ultimate Shield Complex so your polish will withstand the wear and tear of everyday living.
I don’t do my nails, but my daughter does. She loved the iridescent glitter inside this nail polish. It’s a clear polish with a lot of spark to it. My daughter has even used this over colored nail polish to give it a whole new look.
The glitter comes out randomly so some nails might have more than others.
You can use this “as is” for a clear, sparkly shine to your nails or combine it with other colors. It’s a fun and flexible nail polish.
Rite Aid Brand
People always assume that brand names are always better then generic brands. That is not always the case.
My husband used to refuse to use generic or store brand products when we first got married. He felt that they were not as good as the $$$ brand name products. I proved him wrong when I would replace his brand name products with store brand. Now he tends to buy store brand products all the time. In fact we’ve found a few store brand products that are superior to the expensive brand name versions.
Take for example the Extra Long Fabric band aids from Rite Aid. They cost less than brand name band aids and they work just as well. Why pay more for the same product?
By the way I like the extra long length of these band aids. They help product a lot of boo-boost that regular sized band aids can’t.
Rite Aid brand products also come with a 100% guaranteed. If you are not satisfied, they will happily refund your money as long as you have the original register receipt.
Have you tried any of these products yet? If so, which one/ones and what did you think about it/them? I would love to hear your thoughts.
