I don’t think there is no greater love then the moment you become a mom or dad. The moment you become “mom” or “dad” is possibly the greatest day of your life. Nothing can prepare you for the flood of feelings and emotions that will rush over you the moment you become a parent.
When I was pregnant with my first child I read every book I could get my hands on about how to be a perfect parent. I also asked a lot questions of friends and family members about being a parent. I wanted to make sure I did it right.
The moment the doctor placed my daughter on my chest for the first time I whispered in my daughter’s ear that I loved her more than anything in the world. I promised her that I would try and be the best mom I could possibly be and I will always be here for her through the good times and the bad times. I promised to help her have a happy and healthy life.
I made those very same promises to my son when he was born two and a half years later. I started making promises to him long before he was born. I had a difficult pregnancy and our sweet baby boy was born 9 weeks premature. I promised him before he was born that no matter what I would make sure that he would have a long, happy and healthy life. I knew that there could be complications with a preemie and I was fully prepared to go to the ends of the Earth and back to make sure he had whatever services or medical attention he might need.
As a parent you want the very best for your child. You want to keep them happy and healthy. You want to offer them healthy foods, quality education and a home to grow up in.
My kids are teenagers now. They might not need me as they did when they were younger, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t want the very best for them. I always makes sure they have plenty of healthy foods available to them. If they need extra help at school I make sure they get it. I encourage them to “expand their wings and fly”. I am always there for them if they need a shoulder to cry on. My children are my world.
Just because my kids are teens doesn’t mean that I don’t continue to do things I have done ever since they were born. One such thing is reading labels. I am a label reader and I don’t like to bring anything in my home that might have potential to be harmful for my family. Even if there is a slight chance – or the information I am receiving is “hear say” and not necessarily a fact – I don’t want any potentially harmful thing in my home.
Johnson’s Baby has received messages, emails and phone calls from concerned parents about some ingredients found in some Johnson’s Baby products. The people at Johnson’s Baby are also parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. They also care about the products families around the world are using. They took these things to heart and have reformulated several of their products, eliminating ingredients that people were most concerned about.
My family has been using Johnson & Johnson products since day one. They were our “go-to” products for my kids from infancy on up. We still use Johnson’s Baby products, even though my “baby” is going to be 15 years old. I love how they products work and their scents always bring me back in time to when my kids were little.
No bath was complete without Johnson’s Baby Shampoo and Johnson’s Baby Head to Toe Wash. The Vapor Baby Bath is great too. After each bath I would put Johnson’s Baby Lotion on my kids to keep their skin hydrated and moisturized. I love the smell of Johnson’s Baby Lotion. 🙂
To date Johnson’s Baby has reformulated seven of their products and will continue to do so until certain ingredients are removed.
- JOHNSON’S® Baby HEAD-TO-TOE® Wash
- JOHNSON’S® Baby Lotion
- JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo
- JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo & Conditioner for Thick and Curly Hair
- JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo & Conditioner for Thin and Straight Hair
- JOHNSON’S® Baby Shampoo with Calming Lavender
- JOHNSON’S® Baby Soothing Vapor Baby Bath
In addition Johnson’s Baby made this beautiful video that I hope you’ll take a moment and watch.
According to Japanese tradition if you have the patience and commitment to fold 1,000 paper Cranes (origami) you will be granted your most desired wish because you have exhibited the Crane’s dedication and loyalty. It is considered the ultimate labor of love.
Because of this beautiful tradition Johnson & Johnson employees and their families came together to make 1,000 paper Cranes which are now proudly on display. I hope you’ll take a moment to see the fruition of their work.
