I’m a big fan of scents. I love air freshners, oils, wax tarts, spray and perfumes. I never leave the house without wearing a spritz or two of perfume. I treat perfume like a fashion accessory. Your look is not complete without a lovely perfume.
Sometimes when I’m out and about someone will walk past me wearing a wonderful perfume or cologne. It makes me wonder what the scent is. It sometimes leaves a lasting impression. I hope I can have the same effect on someone with the perfume that I wear.
Funny story… when I was a teen I went to Paris with my family. All over Paris people were wearing a perfume that my mother couldn’t stand but I loved. I didn’t know what it was called. All I knew is that I loved the scent.
About a year later we were on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. There was no way we could afford anything sold there, but it was fun to window shop.
We came across a designers store. When we walked past the store I smelled the perfume that I had smelled in Paris. Sure enough I found the perfume! I had to buy a bottle (I could only afford a small bottle). I wore it every day until I finished the bottle. My mother was not too pleased since she didn’t like the scent.
I think it’s interesting that a lot of celebrities are coming out with their own perfumes. Some celebrity perfumes leave me scratching my head asking why and how this person was able to get their own perfume. For others it just makes sense that they had their own perfume because they have their own unique style. Katy Perry is such a person.
Katy has a new perfume that is beautiful as it is bold and as royal as it is rebellious – a lot like Katy herself.
The scent is called Royal Revolution.
“In some ways wearing fragrance is like putting on an invisible suit of luxurious armor. I want Royal Revolution to inspire women to make their own rules and embrace the idea that beauty and inner confidence can come together to become your secret weapon.” – Katy Perry
I have a hard time picking out the scents used to make perfumes. I couldn’t tell you a top note from a bottom note. LOL!
Here is a description of what Royal Revolution is made of.
Royal Revolution ($49, 1.7 oz.) is a tempting and irresistible floral fragrance with tantalizing top notes of pink freesia kissed by the nectar of ruby-red pomegranate captivate the senses. Middle notes of sandalwood balanced with sheer orange flower and velvety jasmine petals create a soft, delicate floral heart guarded by the Mystical Blackthorn. Sexy musk and soft vanilla orchid linger on the skin, ensuring an unrivaled and unforgettable dry-down.
Royal Revolution is a light and airy scent. I don’t find it strong at all. It’s a great “everyday” scent – one you can wear to work and on a night on the town.
I can sense the freesia and the jasmine. It has a light floral scent. With a name like Royal Revolution I would think this would have a strong scent, but it doesn’t. That is fine with me. I tend to lean towards light scents.
The bottle is beautiful! It’s very regal and fitting for the perfume. It looks like a jewel with a very royal looking cap. The only downside is that the bottle doesn’t stand up. Due to it’s shape it lies down flat on the counter.
The color of the bottle is beautiful too. I wish the photo did it justice.
Katy Perry’s Royal Revolution is available where most perfumes are sold.
This Killer Queen is destined to lead a Royal Revolution. The Scent of Victory!
