October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I am grateful that I never no been personally affected by this horrible disease, but my grandfather had breast cancer. He had his left breast removed. This happened back in the early 80’s. Even though its rare men can also get breast cancer.
I hope everyone reading this (men included!) make sure to check themselves out on a monthly basis and look for any strange lumps or any noticeable changes. If you notice anything, or have any concerns, PLEASE visit your doctor as soon as possible.
I’m in need of a Mammogram. I haven’t had one in a while and I’m long over due. I need to get on that pronto!
I really like how companies, brands and organizations come together to help raise not only funds but also awareness and support for breast cancer during the month of October. Sometimes campaigns go well past the month of October (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month). I think that is a good thing because breast cancer affects people year round.
The beauty brand Revlon has partnered with Rite Aid for an exclusive campaign found only at Rite Aid. It’s called “Giving is Beautiful”.
For the “Giving is Beautiful” campaign, for every pink piece of Revlon ColorBurst Balm, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss, Revlon Color Stay Moisture Stain, Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy, Revlon Nail Enamel, and Revlon Diamond Nail File sold up until December 31, 2014, Revlon will donate $1 to the Entertainment Industry Foundation (up to $25,000). The Entertainment Industry Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Revlon is one of my favorite brands. In fact I’m trying out some of their Age Defying products right now (look for the review coming soon).
I use Revlon hair color a lot too (which is another thing I am due for, just like my Mammogram).
Look for qualifying Revlon products at a Rite Aid store near you. For your nearest location please visit RiteAid.com. You can also find both brands on social media.
