What is on your child’s (or grandchild’s) holiday wish list? Are you aware of what the hottest toys are for the holiday season? No doubt some of them are Frozen related.
Here is an interesting fact – According to a National Retail Federation’s (NRF) Holiday Consumer Spending Survey the average person will spend $804.42 on gifts — up nearly 5% from last year. That is close to $1,000 on gifts. Wow! That is A LOT!
To help choose the perfect gift for children, BJ’s Wholesale Club has rounded up the top toy trends likely to dominate kids’ lists. From Frozen to oversized toys to remote control cars and educational toys, BJ’s helps members check items off their wish list early with one-stop holiday shopping for toys including.
I took advantage of BJ’s current FREE 60 Day Trial Membership to check out these “must have” toys of the season. Their 60 Day FREE Trial Membership is available until December 31, 2014. If you are not a member and would like to try them out visit www.BJs.com/savings to sign up. All I did was sign up online, print out the confirmation email and bring it to my local BJ’s customer service counter. They even took my picture and gave me a card right on the spot. I didn’t have to wait for one. Now I’m able to shop at BJ’s whenever I want for the next 60 days.
I had a list of BJ’s Top 10 Toys that I wanted to check out. I had a BJ’s gift card to purchase one of these toys (compliments of BJ’s). I had an idea what I wanted. It was a toss up between an over sized Olaf, Spirograph or a cool play sand kit. I also wanted to check out the other toys.

I found all the toys conveniently in the same area of our local BJ’s, with the exception of the large plush toys. They were at the front of the store. They were the first items I saw. My husband dug inside a huge box to find the one and only Olaf they had left. I decided it was best if I held on to him just in case. If I put him down someone else might have grabbed him. Olaf was one of my top toy choices on my BJ’ shopping list.
We found the Spirograph set and play sand. I was tempted to get them both (keep the Spirograph and donate the play sand to my job).
I couldn’t get over how cute Olaf was. Since I really wanted an Olaf (I’m a big kid at heart) I took home the Olaf plush. With the reminder of my gift card I picked up a package of cinnamon scented pine cones. That whole aisle smelled amazing. I just had to get some. Even on the car ride home our car smelled so good.
I had fun with Olaf on the way home as well as when we got home. If you follow me on Instagram (Instagram.com/SheScribes) no doubt you saw the photos of Olaf I posted.
This is the very same Olaf I purchased from BJ’s. I love him! He’s SO BIG and super adorable. Sadly he was the only one they had left so he’s not in perfect condition. His neck is a big wobbly but I don’t mind. I still enjoy him. 🙂
Even though I did want the Spirograph and the play sand I am happy with my purchase.

Those prices are great. My daughter would love the giant Olaf. I like him drinking the coffee. Too cute.
