If you read my blog on a regular basis you might recall that I LOVE things that are scented and fill my home with fragrance. I personally feel that scents can really affect your mood. They can help you to feel happy, relaxed or even energized.
I have amassed a large collected of scented products over the years including sprays, candles, oils, plug ins and reeds. I like to swap them out often so that we don’t become “nose blind” to the scents. If you smell something long enough your body gets used to it and you can’t really smell it anymore. For that reason I swap out my scented products on a regular basis.
Several months ago I reviewed some fragrances from the Life Scents from Air Wick collection, Lush Hideaway and Summer Delights. You can read my review here – New Air Wick Life Scents Collection.
According to the brand, Life Scents from Air Wick;
Is a first of its kind collection features new scent technology with constantly changing fragrances crafted to mimic real life experience. Unlike other home fragrances that have just one fragrance note, each scent uses patent-pending technology with three distinct fragrance notes that are easily experienced alone but also work together to provide one harmonious multi-dimensional experience that evokes unique, personal memories.
Now that the warmer weather is here it’s time to swap out the scents I have been using for more “summery” scents.
Famed interior designer, Jeremiah Brent, says that scent is the final layer to any space – giving it depth. Life Scents from Air Wick helps add new depth to your interior space because it’s the first ever, constantly changing fragrance for your home.
It’s true. The scent does seem to change. I also like that not everyone smells the same thing. I might smell something and my husband might smell something a bit different. Some of the scents also provoke pleasant memories.
The brand’s new spring collection features some tropical aromas that inspire relaxing retreats. The new scents include;
- Turquoise Oasis
- Lush Hideaway
- Sunshine Cotton
- Mystical Garden
I reviewed Lush Hideaway a few months ago. This is what I had to say about the scent, as well as the brand’s description.
“Lush Hideaway notes of wild berry, fresh mint, and coconut water transform spaces with fresh outdoor scents.”
Every time I plug this in I am reminded of grass. It’s the funniest thing. My husband and kids don’t smell it, but I do. It’s not fresh cut grass either. The scent reminds me of being at the local park with my family and watching my kids (when they were little of course) playing on the playground equipment.
I can always tell when this plugin is being used. It’s a noticeable scent. It’s not a strong or overpowering scent, but I do smell it.
Grass might now sound like a pretty scent, but when you live in a home with no yard it’s nice to transport your mind to a park on a nice, sunny day.
I was sent to review recently Mystical Garden and Turquoise Oasis.
Mystical Garden.
Discover mystical gardens of sun ripened raspberries, blooming roses, and delicately soft marshmallow.
Without knowing what scents made up Mystical Garden I could sense that it was a bit sweet. Almost like candy, but not overpowering. It’s a delicate mix of floral and sweet scents. Now I know it was the marshmallow that I was smelling.
The scent doesn’t remind me of a garden but rather a state fair or carnival. I know that sounds odd, but that is what memories it stirs up when I smell it. I have many fond memories from our local county fair and carnivals growing up, as well as with my own family. To me that is a good thing.
I like this scent. It’s a “fun” scent, if that makes sense?
Turquoise Oasis.
Surround yourself in the untouched beauty of a turquoise oasis with scents of sun bleached driftwood, salty sea spray, and warm breeze.
This scent keeps changing for me. I honestly can’t pin point what it smells like to me or what feelings or memories it brings up. Sometimes it reminds me of those fancy soaps my great-grandmother would use. Don’t get me wrong – that is NOT a bad thing. That was one of the things about my great-grandmother that I remember, her appreciation for fancy soaps.
Other times the scent reminds me of when my kids were little. I can’t explain it. I just smell it and think about my kids when they were in elementary school. Weird huh?
That’s the thing I love about Life Scents – that they are not just one solid scent and that the scents stir up emotions and memories.
Life Scents by Air Wick are available in automatic room sprays and plug ins. They are sold at many retail locations.
