Don’t you love today’s technology? I often wonder what my grandmother and great-grandmother would think if they had a chance to experience today’s modern technology. I think they would be truly amazed.
Personally I can’t believe that I witnessed things like computers, cellphones and tablets. Today’s youth doesn’t realize how good they have it when it comes to technology. Although I do with kids would get outside and play more and use their imaginations and not spend their time on the computers and video games – but that is for another post. LOL!
You can find new technology for just about every room in your home. I especially wonder what my grandmother and great-grandmother would think of all the wonderful kitchen technologies available these days. My grandmother and great-grandmother loved to cook and bake. I bet they would be overjoyed but the modern conveniences that would have made things easier for them.
Have you heard about the brand iDevices? They offer some interesting products including iGrill, iShower and their Kitchen Thermometer.
I was sent the Kitchen Thermometer to review.

One of husband is VERY paranoid about under cooked food. He won’t eat anything if he sees even the slightest pink in any of the meats we are cooking. The big family joke is that my husband won’t eat anything until it’s burned beyond recognition. It’s not really how it is, but he won’t eat anything that is not well done.
We have food thermometers to check the temperature of things, but we are not always sure what temperatures are ideal or not.
The iDevice Kitchen Thermometer helps to take the guesswork out of cooking. Not only does it monitor what you are cooking it will let you know via the brand’s app when your food product has reached the ideal temperature. This gives you the freedom to go about your day and do other things without constantly having to check and monitor the food you are cooking. The Kitchen Thermometer does all that work for you.
Set up is pretty easy. You just need to download the app on your smartphone or tablet. The device connects with the app via Bluetooth technology. I’m pretty impressed that you can go up to 150 feet from the Kitchen Thermometer and it can still connect with your device via the app.
With the Kitchen Thermometer you can keep track of your roast, turkey or whatever you are cooking from anywhere in your home – even if you are outside. You don’t have to constantly go into the kitchen and manually check the temperature of the food.
The app is more than just keeping track of the things you are cooking. It also has recipes worth checking out and you can see what others using the app are cooking/baking. You can even share your meal creations with others on social media. Even if you didn’t have the Kitchen Thermometer, the app is worth having.
The app is free too!
I’ve used the Kitchen Thermometer several times thus far (mostly to cook chicken and beef). So far I have had no issues with it. It works exactly the way I expected it would. My grandmother and great-grandmother would have gone crazy for something like this.
Here is a brief video that shows you more about the iDevice Kitchen Thermometer.
It’s really cool. It’s one of those “Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?” products.
If you would like to learn more about the iDevice Kitchen Thermometer or other iDevice products please visit iDevices.com. There is a mini and full size version of the Kitchen Thermometer too.
You can also find the brand on social media.
What do you think about the iDevice Kitchen Thermometer? Does it sound like a product you could really use in your kitchen? Feel free to share your thoughts.

what a neat idea! I always worry when cooking something like chicken, turkey, a roast etc… if the internal temperature is correct and I like the way this can keep track of my food cooking with an app.

I should really get this. I cook every single day at least two meals for five people! I roast a lot of meat!

PS: my brother and I have an expression:
“Isn’t the future neat!” (the one we imagined as kids, we are in it now)

You are so right about technology. I am amazed at how far we have come in my lifetime. I don’t know how I managed to grow up without anything other than a black and white television that only got 4 or 5 channels. LOL! I am not familiar with this brand, but this thermometer is really cool. I don’t like my meat “burned beyond recognition” but I don’t want to eat any that is under cooked. Thanks for the heads up about this thermometer!
