I don’t make it a point of telling people this, but our son was once diagnosed with Asperger’s, which is a form of Autism. I suspected that he might have it ever since he was a toddler. She showed all the signs of having it.
As he grew up, we had him evaluated by a lot of doctors and professionals to get an iron-clad diagnosis. Sadly, no two doctors could agree on if he had Asperger’s or not. Some say he did, some said he had ADHD, some said there was nothing “wrong” with him. It was frustrating.
My son is now 20 years old. He’s a regular twenty something. He goes to college. He has a job and a car payment, and he has a girlfriend (2 1/2 years and counting). Even so, he still says and does things that make me believe that he does have a bit of Asperger’s. But I guess we’ll never know for certain.
I know that there are a lot of kids diagnosed on the Autism spectrum. This is why I thought I should tell you about Moosh-Moosh. Moosh-Moosh was named the The Top Sensory Toy For 2019, as per Autism Live.
Did you know…
About 1 in 59 children has been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) according to estimates from the Centers for Disease Control. ASD is about 4 times more common among boys than among girls. And it is reported to occur in all racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic groups.
So what exactly is a Moosh-Moosh?
Moosh-Moosh is a recommended autism toy that can help a child build essential developmental skills as they play.
Moosh-Moosh are a line of colorful, adorable, snugly stuffed toys in a variety of designs, from cupcakes to bats, and from unicorns to pigs.
Some Moosh-Moosh plush toys are a bit more. Some are piggy banks and others are flashlights.
I love the flashlight idea. It’s a great way to provide your child with a sense of security with a flashlight to light up the dark and scare away the “Boogeyman,” as well as a snugly, plush toy your child can cuddle with.
My only criticism is that I don’t like the light in the center of it’s forehead. But that is just me.
The piggy bank is also super cute. Your child can learn about saving money all while having a cute friend to snuggle with. It’s also kid-friendly.
Please ignore our kitten’s wonky foot in the one photo.
These are safe, durable, and work well in the home, classroom, or in a therapy center. Sensory toys may help children with autism focus, calm down in stressful situations, or relax.
“This is huge,” emailed Sean Price, Executive Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer of Moosh-Moosh parent company MMG Brands to his staff. “We are the world’s softest plushie, adored by kids, tweens, teens and college co-eds. This 2019 Autism Live Top Sensory Toy/Gift Award fortifies all of the reasons why we offer the soft fabric characters that bring pleasure and comfort to so many.”
I should note that your child does not have to have Autism to appreciate these cuddly toys. Case in point, my daughter is 22 years old and she currently sleeps with one of the Moosh-Moosh toys I was sent to remove.
The brand was kind enough to send me a variety of Moosh-Moosh plushies. They are so cute!
Each Moosh-Moosh has a name.
One of the Moosh-Moosh toys I was sent to review is an adorable bat. I used him as a Halloween decoration. I kept him on our couch, like a throw pillow. I would often grab him and cuddle with him while watching TV. Sadly, I don’t remember his name.
Check out the other adorable Moosh-Moosh I was sent. My daughter has the one called Poindexter, the ice cream.
The pink shark called Nibbler would be a fun gift for a child that LOVE Baby Shark. He (or she) kind of looks like one of those sharks.
I can’t think of a child that doesn’t appreciate a soft, cuddly plush toy to snuggle with, especially one that won a major award.

What do you think about the Moosh-Moosh toys? Do you think your child or that special little boy or girl in your life would like one of these?
