YouTube Next Vlogger 2013

481103_digital_camera_1

As most of my readers already know I don’t often post press releases (or similar announcements) unless I feel like it’s something that might be of interest to my readers.

Please note that I was not compensated for posting this. I am posting this because I feel like it might be of interest to some of my readers.

YouTube is hosting a contest to find the next YouTube Vlogger. If you don’t know what a Vlogger is it’s a blogger who video tapes themselves rather than write.

Here are the details of the competition.

Vlogging. Anyone with a camera, the initiative and a YouTube account can be a vlogger. But do you have what it takes to be a YouTube Next Vlogger? Today we’re launching an all-new competition to find the next round of vloggers: and this time, we’re looking for vloggers who have personal stories of triumph to share with the world.

Have you ever had to overcome a seemingly insurmountable obstacle? Was there a goal you reached through hard-work and perseverance? Have you incorporated these inspiring tales of accomplishment into your channel? Starting today through April 18, 2013, applications will be open for 16 inspired and inspiring vloggers to tell us about their struggles and victories – whether they’re big or small, we want you to inspire us!

This iteration of YouTube Next Vlogger will provide the 16 winning entrants the opportunity to collaborate on videos with other similarly passionate vloggers. They’ll also take part in three months of intimate educational workshops held on Google+ Hangouts. And to top it off, each vlogger will receive $4,000 worth of video equipment and mentoring from industry experts and content creators on YouTube.

By nature, vloggers are sharers; giving us glimpses into their lives and experiences through the YouTube window. We can’t wait to see the stories you have to share with us.

Details of the competition are available at http://www.YouTube.com/yt/Creators/Vlogger.html.

If you enter, good luck! I hope you are the lucky winner. :-)

Win big rewards and prizes with Win Your Way with the Shop Your Way Rewards Program #WinYourWay

Win Your Way

If you are a current shopper at Sears or Kmart you have most likely heard of the rewards program called Shop Your Way Rewards. With Shop Your Way Rewards you earn points on all your purchases from these stores. The point can be redeemed towards great discounts on future purchases. As a family who lives on a strict budget having these special discounts can be a tremendous help. Especially this time of the year when we have a lot of holiday shopping to do.

You don’t have to “jump through hoops” to earn rewards points. Simply use your Shop Your Way Rewards account whenever you make a purchase and you’ll automatically earn points.

This holiday season you can win many rewards points and great prizes through the Shop Your Way Rewards Program with a cool app feature called Win Your Way. With Win Your Way you can enter to win rewards points that will go towards your Shop Your Way account plus other great tangible prizes. Some of the prizes include 100,000 rewards points, movie bundle, cushion ring and an ultimate toy package.

If you are already a Shop Your Way Rewards member then you are already set to enter the contests. If you do not have a membership that is fine. You can create an account quickly and easily. You can even register with your Twitter or Facebook accounts.

Once you are a member you can check out all the great Win Your Way contests.

Here is a little more information about the Win Your Way program.

Win Your Way is an app that is part of the Shop Your Way social shopping platform. Members will find a constant stream of new and unique sweepstakes with prizes including: Shop Your Way Rewards points, trips to locations around the country, jewelry, clothing, appliances, tools, and gadgets.

There are different contests added all the time. Most only last for a couple of days so you should check back often to make sure you don’t miss out.

Here are a few examples of Win Your Way contests that I have entered.

Coolest Toys of the Season

Let the kids in your life unwrap 15 of this season’s most fabulous toys!

  • PRIZE: Ultimate Toy Package

1. Create a new “public” catalog and name it “Fab 15”.

2. Find and add 5 items from the “Fab 15” topic page that your kids would love to unwrap this holiday. The latest in learning toys that is both fun and educational? Maybe the newest and coolest play sets this season has to offer?

3. Then, choose 3 products on that same page, and “Want It”. Not sure how to “Want” product? Once you find the product you are looking for, either hover over the image and select the “Want It” button, or click on the picture to open the item’s product description. Select the “Want It” button, which can be found underneath the product image or under the “Add to Cart” section. No purchase necessary.

Once you’ve completed this step—and we receive 100 entrants—you’ll automatically be entered in our sweepstakes to win 15 of the hottest toys of the season, gift-wrapping included, a value of $1,071.85.

I LOVE that they include gift wrapping too! That means the moment the toys arrive you can tuck them under the tree and they are ready to give to some lucky boys and girls.

My kids are too old for toys but I entered anyway because I love to donate toys to local charities and it would be wonderful to shop up at the site with armfuls of today’s hottest toys to give to children who might not otherwise get any presents this year.

Another contest I am entering is the Let Your Dreams Fly contest.

What Kmart products would you bring on a Universal Orlando family vacation?

  • PRIZE: Universal Orlando® Trip

Complete the following steps to enter:

1. Download the free SHOP YOUR WAY app for your iPhone or Android device—not currently available for other Smartphone users.

2. Sign into the app once you are at the Kmart store you most frequent, and use the “Shopin” feature. No purchase necessary (except data rates may apply). Alternate entry method available, see below.

Once you’ve completed these steps—and we receive 50 entrants—you’ll automatically be entered in our sweepstakes for a chance to win a trip for four to Universal Orlando, including round-trip airfare, valued at $3,705.16.

I would LOVE to take my family on a REAL vacation. We can only afford to go on day trips. We have dreamed of going to Florida for many years. I would love to win this prize so that we can visit Universal Studios and some other other area attractions while we’re down there.

For both contests there is additional information. I just included a little bit about the contests in this post.

Remember, they are constantly adding new contests so you should make a point of checking often. What I have done is bookmarked the site and then I make sure to check it every morning like all the other sites I read on a daily basis.

Not all contests award the winners with a tangible prize. Some contests give you points (5,000, 20,000 and even up to 100,000). Those points can be redeemed as part of your Shop Your Way rewards program giving you massive discounts on future purchases.

To learn more or to enter visit http://bit.ly/RdfB8K (I’ve shortened the link).

FYI… Win Your Way is a product of Shop Your Way, not Sears or Kmart. I hope there is no confusion about that. :-)

You can check out Shop Your Way on Twitter (@ShopYourWay) and follow the conversation using the hashtag #WinYourWay.

There is no purchase necessary to enter any of the Win Your Way contests. For more information see  http://bit.ly/RdfB8K for more details.

I hope you’ll take the time to check out all the great contests going on at Win Your Way. If you enter – good luck! I hope you win some fabulous prizes.

Shoney’s 65th Anniversary & the All-American Root Beer Float (3 Winners – Giveaway ends 11/18/12)

Have you ever heard a song, smelled a scent or caught a glimpse of something that brought your mind back to your younger years? Is there something the evokes memories of your childhood? That happens to me often. Sometimes the memories that come to mind are from my childhood. Other times they are from recent years.

Here are a few examples of things that always bring back pleasant memories – The bells from an ice cream truck, the scent of a real Christmas Tree, a song on the radio or seeing a toy I used to play with being sold at a garage sale.

Not too long ago my family was at a flea market where my husband and I came across a toy we both had as children. We never knew that we had the same toy in common (it was a car you could build and take apart). I thought that was pretty cool.

Everyone has something special that brings back great memories. Other things tend to be more “universal”, such as a Root Beer Float. Can you remember the first time (or last time) you enjoyed this All American classic treat? It’s been years since I had one. The last root beer float I had I made myself. Some how it doesn’t taste the same when you make it. Root Beer Floats always taste better when someone makes it for you. :-)

Many years ago, long before I knew my husband, I dated a guy that lived upstate. It was a 5+ hour drive each way. I used to drive up almost every Friday after work and come home Sunday evening. In hindsight that was an insane thing to do.

There was a little “Mom & Pop” type shop I used to stop at almost every time I made that trip to get a Root Beer Float. I did it so often it was like ”second nature” to me to pull off the Interstate and  grab a Root Beer Float.

A classic way to enjoy a Root Beer Float is in a Coca-Cola bell soda glass. Do you remember those? I used to have one. I wonder what ever happened to it?

I know that I have readers all over the country (and in other countries too). If you happen to live near a Shoney’s restaurant you might be interested in this fun promotion they have going on this month.

Shoney’s, the great American eatery, is celebrating 65 years of dining by awarding guests with one of America’s all-time, beloved treats – a scrumptious Barq’s root beer float served in a limited edition collectible Coca-Cola bell soda glass.  In partnership with Coca-Cola, Shoney’s will offer its breakfast guests a coupon to enjoy the frosty fountain treat at the throwback price of 65 cents with a return meal enjoyed during the luncheon or dinnertime hours (purchase must be $5.00 or more and patrons must dine-in).

Shoney’s was one of the first family casual dining concepts in the United States.  Its roots trace back to 1947, when Alex “Shoney” Schoenbaum opened the Parkette Drive-In next to his father’s bowling alley in Charleston, W.Va.  Today, Nashville-based Shoney’s is a favorite family casual dining destination, with approximately 200 restaurants in 17 states across the South and Southeast, reaching everyone from growing young families to retirees.  The “Shoney’s Homecoming” coupon for a 65-cent Barq’s root beer float is Shoney’s way of saying “thank you” to longtime patrons while welcoming a new generation to enjoy the Shoney’s experience.

The Coca-Cola bell soda glass has been part of the heritage of The Coca-Cola Company since 1929.  Like the famous contour bottle for Coca-Cola, the Bell Soda Glass was destined to become forever associated with Coca-Cola worldwide.  Still used at many soda fountains, these glasses are visible proof of the timeless popularity of the world’s most-valuable brand.

Beginning Nov. 1 and continuing daily until November 30, 2012, participating Shoney’s restaurants will be distributing 65th anniversary “Shoney’s Homecoming” coupons to every dine-in breakfast guest. Customers can use the coupon with their next dine-in lunch or dinner purchase of $5.00 or more at Shoney’s to redeem the 65-cent root beer float – made with the uniquely bold taste of Barq’s Root Beer – and the distinctive Coca-Cola Bell Soda Glass while supplies of the limited-edition fountain glasses last. (note: The “Shoney’s Homecoming” coupon expires at the close of business on November 30, 2012.  If an individual Shoney’s restaurant runs out of the Coca-Cola Bell Soda Glasses before November 30, its participation in the promotion – including the 65-cent root beer float offer – will end at that time.)

I wish we had a Shoney’s near where I live. Sixty-five cents for a classic Root Beer Float is a great deal. I would stop by as often as I could for that price.

I think it’s a fun idea to offer the classic floats in the old fashioned Coca-Colas bell glasses. Some how Root Beer Floats taste even better that way. Maybe it’s because it brings back a lot of nostalgia nad pleasant memories for many people.

A special HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Shoney’s! :-) !

To find a Shoney’s near you visit www.Shoneys.com. You can also check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

In honor of Shoney’s special birthday promotion I have three sets of Coca-Cola Bell Glasses to give to three lucky readers (3 readers will each get four glasses). Use them to whip up Root Beer Floats in your home whenever you want.

This giveaway is open to US residents only and will end on November 18, 2012 at 12:01 AM (EST). The winners will be chosen at random using a random number generator from all eligible entries. The winners will be notified via e-mail and will have three days to respond or a new winner will be chosen in their place.

To enter please leave a comment on this post and share with me any memories you have about the All-American Root Beer Float – OR – any Root Beef Float recipe you might have – OR – Anything you especially like about Shoney’s (if you have eaten there before).

For extra entries you can use the Rafflecopter widget (bel0w) but you MUST complete the initial entry requirement or the additional entries won’t qualify.

How would you like to win $500?

Living in a condo we have had our fair share of pests. Mostly it comes from noisy neighbors (ha ha). Actually I’m referring more so to ants and miscellaneous creepy crawlies. We also have a squirrel that we affectionately refer to “Psycho Squirrel” who loves to sit on my balcony and tease our cats and dog. :-)

We are hoping (and praying) to move into a house in the near future. I’m sure with a house comes more responsibilities (we’ll have to shovel snow and mow the lawn). I know that pests are also a possibility. We want to move where I was born and raised – upstate in the country. Growing up we had a variety of pests in our home from snakes to birds, and from field mice to miscellaneous pests like crickets and frogs.

Snakes… well that is another story in it’s self. May we never have to deal with them because my husband is afraid of them which would leave me having to deal with it.

I’m hoping we don’t have a problem with mice. It’s not that I don’t feel sorry for them. I know they just need food and a warm place to sleep. But they can be VERY destructive and cause a lot of damage.

We have five cats. I’d like to think we have a “natural” mouse trap. I’m actually hoping that the cats scare mice away. I wouldn’t want to set traps for them. If I have to I will because I don’t want them causing damage or spreading disease.

A company that knows all too well about pest control is having a sweepstakes that I think people might be interested, especially because it’s easy to enter and first prize is $500. With the holidays approaching I’m sure most people can put that $500 to good use.

The company is called Victor Pest. The great thing about this company is that their products are made in the USA. I appreciate companies, big or small, who DON’T outsource their business and keep jobs here in the United States.

Victor makes a variety of pest control products, including Victor mouse traps, to help rid your home and yard of mice, rats, gophers and moles. I forgot about moles. We had them too growing up. They can really mess up your yard.

What I like about Victor (aside from their American made products) is that they DO offer humane pest control options. I’m not keen on traditional traps that kill an animal. As the “mom” to five cats, a dog and some fish, I have a hard time killing a living creature. Victor has traps that WON’T kill the critter that is captures, allowing you to set it free elsewhere (far from your home). They do offer less humane traps too. I can understand people using them as well. Not everyone wants to deal with a live mouse.

Victor is having a special sweepstakes called Made in the USA. All you need to do is enter in your name, mailing address, e-mail, birth date (to make sure you are not a minor) and phone number. If you have used Victor products before you have the option of commenting on your experience (optional). That’s it! That is all you have to do for your chance to win $500.

You can increase your chances of winning too! Simply upload a photo of yourself with your favorite Victor product, a photo of a creative craft that incorporates one of our Products or a photograph showing off your patriotism and you can earn an additional TWO entries. They even have a photo map where you can check out the photos that are currently entered.

For more information about the sweepstakes, or to enter, visit http://MadeintheUSA.VictorPest.com/Sweepstakes.html. For official sweepstakes rules please visit http://MadeintheUSA.VictorPest.com/Rules.html.

Seriously, this is a super easy sweepstakes to enter. You don’t have to “jump through hoops” like other sweepstakes, especially ones that want you to like this or vote for that. For this sweeps all you need to do is provide basic information (the same information all sweeps ask for). Personally I am going to enter. With an asthmatic cat with hyperthyroidism, two cats with urinary tract “issues” and a dog who needs to pay the vet a visit too, I can use all the $$$ I can get. I’m sure winning the $500 would help out a lot for vet bills, or even holiday shopping (teens can be expensive – ha ha).

If you would like to learn more about Victor pest products, or even Expert Tips, Rodent 101 or other informative information about pests, visit www.VictorPest.com.

If you enter – Good Luck! Let me know if you win.

iD Gum – “Kinda more than gum. Kinda amazing”

My kids LOVE gum. I think they are making up for lost time because I never let them have gum when they were younger. I just didn’t think they needed it. Plus my daughter wore braces for 4+ years (although the dentist said sugar free gum was fine). I only started to let my kids have gum a couple of years ago (they are both teenagers now). Since then they became obsessed with gum, especially my son. As a joke for his birthday we bought him a 12-pack of gum from Costco. :-)

Krafts Foods is debuting a new gum with is targeted towards teens, but adults like it too (at least my hubby does). It’s called iD Gum.

To help kick off the launch, Kraft Foods had Kellan Lutz (one of the stars from the Twilight movie series) and Austin Mohone (Say Somthin, 11:11) make an appearance in NYC. Kellan also unveiled the brand’s online ArtCade gaming experience featuring 18 unique games that embraces teens’ appreciation for discovery and individuality.

You too can can experience the ArtCade at www.iDgum.com.

I’m not one to post press releases but I think this one contains a lot of great information about iD Gum as well as the free games at the ArtCade.

The makers of iD Gum know that today’s teens are seeking inspiration to discover and explore their multiple passions and by embodying a “kinda” mentality (Kinda more than gum. Kinda amazing.), this gum is designed to accompany them on that journey. The core of the iD Gum brand focuses on the teen experience, believing it’s better to explore individuality by staying open-minded rather than define themselves with a single identity. Event guests experienced both the brand’s online ArtCade gaming experience and a display of the unique pack art in a real-life kinda-arcade, kinda-art gallery atmosphere.

ArtCade is a mind-blowing, totally unique arcade experience featuring 18 innovative, free online games on iD’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/iDGumPage) and Android (coming soon to iOS). Four games launched on September 17, and new games will be released every Tuesday (unless unlocked early by collecting and scanning the on-pack artwork). Games will include everything from dropping t-shirts on dinosaurs (T-Rex in V-Necks), to collecting sunblock bottles to avoid becoming toast (Ginger Ninja), and countering a sensei’s attacks to prevent him from revealing too much (Censored Sensei).

“I’m thrilled to celebrate the launch of iD Gum because it caters to young people who, like me, want to explore, discover and pursue what makes us curious,” said Kellan Lutz. “As an actor and someone who also enjoys drawing and designing, I appreciate exploring different passions and embracing my individuality. iD Gum really gets that in everything from their package design to their online presence.”

iD Gum offers up a delicious twist to the flavors you love – Peppermint, BerryMelon, and Spearmint – and is packaged in a sleek, innovative, folding pack featuring a new and unexpected magnetic closure. iD Gum is delivered in a semi-transparent cellophane wrapper that hints at what’s inside the pack. Once unwrapped, the pack reveals original artwork sourced from young emerging artists from around the world. There are 18 designs in total – so the more you chew, the more you discover. The MSRP is $1.49 for the single pack and $3.29 for the multi-pack.

iD Gum, which started shipping to retailers across the country beginning August 1, is launching with a fully integrated campaign including TV, Digital and Experiential. TV spots debuted this week and bring to life the brand’s mantra of “kinda” for consumers.

“Today’s teens are really looking for that emotional connection with their brands and are hungry for new ways to explore and display their creativity and individuality,” said Stephanie Wilkes, Vice President NA Confections, Kraft Foods. “The uniqueness of iD Gum – from the artwork to the packaging to its online gaming experience – takes discovery and personal expression to a whole new level.”

Bringing the unique brand experience to teens everywhere, iD Gum will also be travelling across the country this fall via a multi-stop truck tour. “Kinda” a camper and “kinda” a canvas, the truck will bring live enactments of the online ArtCade games such as T-Rex in V-Necks and Electrocutesy, samples of iD Gum and swag for consumers, and in some markets, serve as a mobile surface on which artists can paint. For more information about the tour, including dates and stop locations, visit www.facebook.com/iDGumPage.

The gum is already a huge hit with my teens (ages 13 and 15 1/2). We have all three flavors. They love the Berry Melon. My husband is not much of a gum chewer either but he also likes the Berry Melon flavor.

I’ve been playing the games over at the ArtCade. They have a game called T-Rex in V-Necks where you have to try and drop tee shirts on T-Rex dinosaurs as they walk by (trust me, it’s not as easy as it sounds). Another game is called Censored Sense, which is a silly karate game (I have yet to master that one). Not So Bald Eagles is funny. You have to toss wigs on top of Bald Eagles before they disappear.

The only game I’m good at so far is Bladder Up. I won’t go into detail what it’s about but if you think carefully about the title you might have some idea. Ha Ha. :-)

There is another game, Cat-a-Pult, that has you slinging cats onto floating objects in space. That is probably my least favorite game, which is sad to say because I love cats and they are cute cats.

Best of all these games are FREE, however they are on Facebook so the under 13 crowd couldn’t play them without an adult since you need to be 13 or older for a Facebook account. The games are kid friendly so you can let your younger child enjoy them as well as your teenager. Even adults can have fun with them too.

The ArtCade also showcases artwork from various artists. Some of them are pretty cool.

Make sure to stop by the iD Gum Facebook game and check out the ArtCade for yourself. Also, look for iD Gum where ever gum is sold.

Hilton HHonors 25 Days of Winning (AWESOME prizes!) plus giveaway (ends 10/15/12)

As most of my readers know I  just returned from a press trip to the West coast. I learned a lot (which I will share in future posts). I also learned a lot about traveling. I’m not much of a traveller. In the past 10 years I’ve been on a plane four times – two times last year to the West coast and once this year to the West coast and another time to Montreal, Canada. Since I’m not much of a traveller I wasn’t really aware of all the “perks” that are available, from free hotel stays and room upgrades to free plane tickets.

A blogger friend of mine gave me his pass to the executive lounge for the airline we were traveling. I’ve never been in one of those lounges before. WOW! I could get used to that. It was so much nicer then hanging out in the airport by the gate. I was able to sit in comfy chairs, enjoy TV and yummy food. He had the passes thanks to one of the credit cards he uses.

Another blogger friend who was on the trip with me recently posted that you should join the rewards program for any hotel you are going to stay at because you can use your stay towards cool rewards. From now on whenever I’m invited on a press trip I’m going to make sure to join the hotel’s rewards program.

Rewards programs such as these have been around for a long time. In fact, this year is the 25th Anniversary of Hilton HHonors.

If you are not familiar with Hilton HHonors here is a brief description from their website.

Only with Hilton HHonors can you earn both Points & Miles® for stays at 3,750 hotels worldwide and airline miles with over 50 airline partners. And we offer several unique ways to pile on the points — earn them through hotel stays or with participating credit cards; or, consider purchasing them if you are just shy of that trip to the Caribbean. And when you are feeling generous, you can transfer them to family or friends who are also members. We also offer you an opportunity to donate your extra points to several charitable organizations.

Know that I am more familiar with Hilton HHonors I am going to join. Membership is free.

Hilton HHonors offers many different travel and non-travel rewards. I was browsing their reward offers and found so many rewards that I would love to have. I even compiled my Hilton HHonors “Wish List”.

- Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera Kit or Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Kit – I NEED a new camera. It’s not so much as a “want” as it is a “need”. My camera just doesn’t work as well as it used to. Plus I really want to take my photography to the next level. I have been dreaming of a better camera for YEARS now. I would do anything for one of these cameras. They are pricey so it’s nice to know that you can use rewards points to get one of these. Just think of the amazing pictures I could have taken while I was out on the West coast.

- HP Envy Spectre Bundle – When I travel I find it hard to bring my laptop with me. First and foremost I worry about it getting broken. My life is on my computer! If something happens to it I can potentially lose a lot of important things, from photos to documents. I do back up often, but you just never know. I really want a netbook because they are smaller and lighter then a traditional laptop. This would allow me to get work done when I’m traveling, whether it’s at the airport or the hotel. If I had a netbook with me on my trip last week I wouldn’t be so far behind this week.

- Dell Inspiron Laptop Computer – I NEED a new laptop! I currently use a Dell, but my Dell is 7+ years old. It’s big, bulky and I worry every day that it’s just going to die out on me. This is part of the reason why I don’t take it with me when I travel because it’s bigger and heavier then the laptops that are currently available. Even if I didn’t have a netbook when I travelled, a new, lighter weight laptop would sure be nice.

- Broadway Show Tickets for Two – I hate to admit this but I live in New York, just outside NYC, and I have never seen a real Broadway show. I have seen off Broadway shows, but not an actual show ON Broadway. I realize that I don’t have to travel to get to NYC, but it’s certainly a fun reward I would love to take advantage of. If you are travelling to NYC I’m sure most people would love to take in the Broadway experience too.

- Biggest Loser Resorts – I need to lose weight, need I say more? OK… I really don’t someone like Jillian Michaels screaming at me while working out (I mean that in a nice way) but it would be nice to learn how to lose weight and what exercises I should be doing to help me out. With Hilton HHonors you can earn rewards for a one week stay at the Biggest Loser Resort in Niagara, NY. I actually think this is a pretty cool reward. It’s part vacation, part education and you’ll come back from your experience losing a few pounds rather then gaining like many people do when they go on vacation.

- Super Bowl 2013 Package for Two – My husband would FREAK OUT if we earned enough points for this opportunity. Not only does it include two tickets to the Super Bowl but it also includes airfare, hotel accomdations and more! I think I would earn the “Best Wife Ever” award if I presented my husband with this opportunity. :-)

- Luxury Resort Escape For Two – My husband and I never had a honeymoon. We eloped almost 16 years ago (our Anniversary is October 18th). We got married at the courthouse on a Friday afternoon. We spent that night and the following night at an area hotel, then returned to our homes and went back to work (I was living with my parents at the time, he was living with his mom). The highlight of our “honeymoon” was dinner at the hotel restaruant and a comedy show. I really wish we had a REAL honeymoon. We also never go out much as just a couple. We usually have our kids along with us. Just once I would love to get away for a few days with my husband and have a real honeymoon experience.  A 4 day/3 night escape to a luxury resort would be perfect.

- KitchenAid Glass Bowl Design Series Standmixer – I have always wanted one of these mixers. I saw a demonstration with the mixer and it’s pasta maker attachment. You can use it to make fresh, homemade pasta. Mmmm! I would love to serve out of town guests fresh pasta. Not only that you can make a variety of delicious things with this mixer. Plus it sure beats mixing things by hand which is what I have to do now.

- Dimplex Electric Fireplace Entertainment Center – I REALLY want one of these! My husband and I have been wanting one for years. Our current TV stand is black in color and attracts dust and pet dander like a magnet (I dust it 2-3 times a day!). Plus it’s ugly. Once we saw the faux fireplace TV stands we’ve been wanting to get one. Sadly they are too pricey. I love that you can save up your Hilton HHonors points for this beautiful reward. I would LOVE to have this in my home!

- Escalade Hot Shot 6-Ft. Air Hockey Table – This would be a “wish” for my husband (I would give it to him as a gift). We’re in the process of selling our condo (HOPEFULLY!) and buying a house. My husband said he’s always wanted a “man cave” with a big TV, comfy chair and a air hockey table. We have the TV and chair, so all we need is the air hockey table and of course a house to put into it. I don’t think I would ever spend the $$$ to buy one of these tables (pay the electric bill or buy an air hockey table…humm…), but it would be awesome to give one to my husband as a gift. I know he would be super excited about it and that would make me feel great.

Hilton HHonors has rewards in a variety of categories from travel experiences (hot air balloon rides in France, California wine tour…) to electronics and from fashion to pet products. The rewards range in points range in price so you can get lower point rewards quickly or save up for the bigger rewards.

Unlike other rewards prorams, Hilton HHonors also allows you to donate your points to charity. They have several rewards available that benefit Breast Cancer Awareness and other rewards that help out those less fortunate, such a helping to provide prenatal care for a birth mother as well as vitamins and supplements. They also have rewards that help out military heroes.

Hilton HHonors is having a special sweeptakes in honor of their 25th Anniversary. It’s called the 25 Days of Winning sweepstakes. The sweetpstakes starts today (October 1, 2012) and runs through October 25, 2012 (25 days). Every day for 25 days, HHonors members will be encouraged to visit www.HHonors.com/25days for a chance to win exceptional prizes from a getaway to Times Square, New York, to HHonors Diamond status for a year. All the prizes are also available as part of the Hilton HHonors program.

I checked out the prizes. Oh my!!! I know I’m going to enter. For example, on October 3, 2012 they are giving away a Times Square on New Years Eve package which includes two passes to the New Year’s Eve Gala at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Times Square, four nights hotel accommodations, round-trip airfare (I wouldn’t need this since I live outside the city), 100,000 HHonors Bonus Points and a $1,000 Hilton HHonors Gift Card. I would LOVE to win that! I’ve always wanted to take my hubby to Times Squre on New Years Eve.

On October 8, 2012 they are giving away a $5,000 gift card and on October 14, 2012 they are giving away bikes for your family (four bikes). There are a lot of great prizes to be given away. You won’t want to miss out on them.

To enter you simply have to enter in your e-mail address. If you are not already a Hilton HHonors member, no worries. You can join for FREE. Then each day when you want to enter the sweeps you just have to submit your e-mail. It’s that easy!

For more information about Hilton HHonors please visit www.HiltonHonors.com. You can also find them on Twitter (@HiltonHHonors) and on Facebook (www.Facebook.com/HiltonHHonors).

To help encourage you to enter the sweepstakes I have a FREE night certificate (est. value $250) to give away to a lucky reader. The certificate is good for a one night stay at any of the 3,800 properties in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio. Thank you Hilton!

This giveaway is open to US residents only and will end on October 15, 2012 at 12:01 AM (EST). The winner will be chosen at random from all eligible entries using a random number generator. The winner will be notified via e-mail and will have three days to reply or a new winner will be chosen.

To enter please comment on this post and tell me which reward on my “wish list” would you love to have too – OR – Visit the Hilton HHonors website, check out the rewards, then come back here and tell me what reward you would love to have.
