*I use Stat Counter and Histats to track unique visitors and page views. Compete.com is ALWAYS incorrect. They do not use real stats. They have their own system which does not reflect the stats from Stat Counter or Histats. Stat Counter stats are more accurate.

Product Reviews: I do not charge for product reviews. Product reviews require full size products, not samples. I need to be able to fully use, photograph and/or video in order to provide my honest feedback on the product. Products sent for review can not be returned. I do not return products because it is compensation for my time and effort. By returning a product it’s essentially “FREE” advertising which is not fair to me. Therefore I will not review items that need to be returned.

I am unable to do product reviews unless I have actually had the opportunity to use the product (or service) personally. I do not do reviews based on photographs.

I am open to different types of product reviews including (but not limited to) family friendly products, toys, movies, games, DVD’s, CD’s, household products, beauty products, pet products, books, technical “gadgets” and more. If I feel your product is not a good fit for my blog I will let you know that upfront.

If more then one product is shipped, unless prior giveaway arrangements were made, I will donate additional products to local charities or offer the product for a giveaway at my discretion. Children’s items will be held until the holidays when I can donate them to “Toys for Tots”. Books will be donated to the local library or to a local school. Other products will vary depending on what they are.

Book Reviews: I do not charge for book reviews. Please keep in mind that books take time to read, especially when you are a parent, homemaker, business owner and blogger. I read as much as I can as often as I can. Depending on what is going on in my life and how big the book is it could take me anywhere from a week to a month or two to complete the review. Please keep that in mind when asking for a book review. I LOVE reading books, you just have to understand that it’s not practical to get a book read and reviewed in the matter of a week when you are a busy person.

Giveaways: Offering a product, book, subscription or gift certificate is a GREAT way to create a buzz about your product, book or service. My readers appreciate the opportunity to win exciting prizes. Please consider offering an additional product or gift certificate for a giveaway when asking for a review. It’s not mandatory but the option is available to you.

It would be helpful if you could ship the prize to the winner. Depending on the product I might be able to ship from my end within reason.

If the prize giveaway is going to be a gift certificate or something that will be sent via e-mail I would require the gift certificate code up front. Due to companies not sending online gift codes I feel its best that the code be sent to me in advance, that way I can send it to the winner as soon as they are selected. If this presents a problem please feel free to contact me.

Special campaigns and promotions: I am happy to post information about special campaigns and promotions only if I feel that it’s something relevant to my readers. Please view my reader demographics to see if your campaign or promotion would fit well with She Scribes.

An example of what I would not post: If one of your products was recently seen in “xxx” magazine or “xxx” celebrity was caught using or wearing your product I would not post that. It’s not relevant to my readers and that reads like an ad. However if you wanted me to REVIEW that product or offer one as a GIVEAWAY then I would be happy to include in the post that “xxx” featured the product or “xxx” was seen wearing the product.

Advertising: I am currently accepting advertising on my blog. PLEASE NOTE that with any type of advertising it is a “hit or miss”. I cannot make any guarantee as to how many readers will click on the ad. If your ad is eye catching and relevant to my reader demographics you will do better then other ads. There is no discount or refund if an ad doesn’t produce as many hits as you’d like it to. It’s important that your product or service is something that would appeal to my readers (women, mothers, families…).

I have the right to refuse ads. I will not post ads on “Get rich quick” schemes, MLM’s, Gambling, Porn, Hate or anything of that nature. All ads and links will be verified before they are posted. If an advertiser changes the content that is linked from She Scribes without notice the ad/post will be immediately removed and no refused issued (another words NO “bait and switch” ads/posts).
