Special Kmart and P&G promotion (Giveaway ends 4/15/12)

I like to share special promotions with my readers, especially if it can help them to save money, or in this case, earn money.

From April 1, 2012 to April 7, 2012 and April 15, 2012 to April 21, 2012, Procter & Gamble and KMART are offering a $10 gift card when you buy $30 of P&G products at Kmart.

For these two weeks in April, you will get a $10 off coupon when you buy $30 worth of P&G products. The offer includes regular, sale and clearance priced grocery, beauty and health care items.

If you purchase $30 worth of P&G products during the week of April 1 through April 7, the $10 off coupon is redeemable April 8th through April 15.  If you purchase $30 worth of P&G products during the week of April 15 through April 21, the $10 off coupon is redeemable April 22 through April 28.

Participating Procter & Gamble products: Align, Always, Aussie, Bounce, Bounty, Braun, Cascade, Charmin, Cheer, Clairol, Clearblue Easy, Cover Girl, Crest, Dawn, Downy, Dreft, Duracell, Era, Febreze, Fixodent, Gain, Gillette, Glide, Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Hydrience, Iams, Ivory, Joy, Luvs, Metamucil, Mr. Clean, Natural Instincts, Nice & Easy, Olay, Old Spice, Oral B, Pampers, Pantene, Pepto Bismol, Prilosec OTC, Puffs, Safeguard, Scope, Secret, Swiffer, Tampax, Tide, and Vicks.

The great thing about this promotion is that many of these products you most likely buy on a regular basis, so it will be easy for you to purchase $30 in products. I’m sure many people normally spend more then $30 in Luvs diapers for their little one.

Mark you calendar and plan your shopping trip accordingly. If you purchase any of these products make sure to pick them up at your neighborhood Kmart so that you can take advantage of the promotion.

To get you excited about this promotion I have a special prize package. The winner will receive an Olay Facial Hair Removal Duo and $30 in Kmart gift cards.

This giveaway is open to US residents only and will end on April 15, 2012 at 12:01 AM (EST). The winner will be chosen at random using a random number generator from all eligible entries.

Celebrate Reading Month with a special coupon from LeapFrog Tag & Scholastic

Are you familiar with the LeapFrog learning products for children? They were just coming on to the scene when my children were little. Both of my children had LeapFrog products growing up. More than 15 years ago LeapFrog began building its legacy of helping children learn to read.

Tag, the #1 selling reading system.* It helps children learn to read and more by bringing words and pictures to life—that’s why 99% of teachers recommend Tag!**

WOW! I am really impressed by how much more advanced LeapFrog products are these days. I’m especially impressed by their LeapFrog Tag system.

LeapFrog Tag provides your child with word for word support. The Tag system provides your child with vocabulary, reading comprehension and phonics skills and it geared towards children ages 4-8 years old (they do have a Tag Junior system for ages 1-4).

Tag helps children by letting them either hear the entire word or have it sounded out for them.

There are over 60+ books to choose from so you are sure to find book and characters that will bring hours of enjoyment to your child. They even have easy readers, maps that help teach children about Geography and map skill and books that feature games and activities. They can even teach children how to write upper and lower case letters.

The amazing thing about the LeapFrog’s Tag is that it brings characters to life. The voices of the characters in the books are the same that voices that children recognize from television and movies. Another words, Buzz and Woody from Toy Story sounds exactly like the movie characters in the Tag books.

They have so many fun books too with some of my favorite characters as Toy Story, Cars, Tinker Belle, Dora and many more.

Did you know that Tag is the #1 selling reading system?* It’s also recommended by 99% of teachers.** Wow! That is impressive.

March is Reading Month. Did you know that? I didn’t. :-)

Now you can celebrate Reading Month with LeapFrog and Scholastic. They are offering a $3.00 off coupon that you can use at your favorite retail store to save on Tag books and to help get your child started on their journey into reading.

You can find the coupon here, http://www.leapfrog.com/en/landingpages/reading_month.html?utm_source=Scholastic&utm_medium=banner3&utm_campaign=TagReadingMonth. The coupon expires June 30, 2012.

I hope you will take advantage of this coupon offer to stock up on your children’s favorite stories and books featuring their favorite characters. It’s never too early to share your love of reading with your child.

FREE E-book download – Great book! 1/6/12 – 1/9/12 ONLY

I thought I’d give my readers a “head up” about a great book that is being giveaway FREE from January 6, 2012 – January 9, 2012. The book is called I Used to Know That: Stuff you forgot from school.

This is a great book for adults and parents to have, not only to help their own children or grandchildren with homework, but also as a refresher.

The book is written by Caroline Taggart. Caroline provides you with a lot of the essentials you should know in English, Literature, Math, Science, History, Geography and General Studies.

I Used to Know That is already my “go to” book when my kids ask me questions about things that I truly don’t remember. Things that I SHOULD remember because I learned about them in school, I just forgot.

When I flip through the pages I am SHOCKED at home much I DON’T know. I think I must have slept my way through school.

To give you an example, do you know what a “homonym” is? If your child asked you for an example, could you give them one? I certainly couldn’t.

This book is also great for trivia buffs. There are a lot interesting fact found within the pages of the book.

I think I learned more from reading this book then I have my whole senior year of high school :-) .

Here is a link that tells you more about the book,

2012 Can Can Sale and Fight Hunger Campaign

Whenever I think of ShopRite the infamous “Can Can” song comes to mind. We also do our weekly shopping at ShopRite.

ShopRite is known for it’s wonderful Can Can sales. We’ve stocked up numerous times during one of their great sales.

Did you know that last year ShopRite donated a whopping 40,000 cans of food to local food banks in honor of the 40 years of Can Can savings by way of it’s famous Can Can sale? Wow! That is a lot of cans.

Now it’s it’s 41st year, the Can Can sale is going to do something extra special.

This year ShopRite has created the ”Cans for Fans” Facebook program. This program enables fans to get involved in the fight against hunger.

During the 2012 Can Can Sale (January 5 – January 21), ShopRite will donate one can of food (up to 50,000 cans) to local food banks in the communities it serves, on behalf of every new ShopRite Facebook fan.

What a great way to help fight hunger and all you need to do is simply “like” their Facebook page. You can’t get any easier then that.

If you could possibly take a moment to “like” the Facebook page it would really make a difference in someone’s life. You can find the special Facebook page here, http://on.fb.me/SRFbook

Please encourage your family, friends and neighbor’s to like the page too. Remember, for each “like” a can of food will be donated to a food bank. Even if you do not shop at ShopRite or have a store near you, you can still “like” the page to help out.

In addition to their effort to help fight hunger, ShopRite has also created a super fun tool that you can use to turn yourself into a virtual ShopRite Can Can dance. Just visit www.ShopRiteCanCan.com, to upload your personal photo and get turned into a virtual Can Can dancer. You can then share the image with your friends and family via e-mail, your blog, Facebook and/or Twitter.

I made one for myself. I couldn’t figure out how to embed it in this post, but if you are interested in seeing me as a virtual Can Can girl you can see my video commerical here, http://www.shopritecancan.com/cancan.php?userImageId=2123. Try not to laugh. :-)

If you are a frequent ShopRite shopper like we are, you can get a preview of the Can Can sale by visiting www.ShopRite.com. Remember the sale doesn’t start until January 5, 2010. I plan on checking it out after I finish this post so I can plan my shopping trip for next Saturday.
