Get out of there cat!

Get Out of There Cat! Book Cover

If you have ever owned a cat before you know how cats love to make themselves comfortable in the oddest places. It doesn’t matter how many comfy pet beds you have, your cat would rather curl up inside your dresser drawer or laundry basket.

Where is the oddest place you have found your cat?

We have one cat, Anakin, who will try and squeeze himself into any box he can find. I do a lot of reviews and often have boxes of different shapes and sizes waiting to be taken to the recycle bin. Anakin will always try and fit into the boxes, even if they are clearly way too small for him.

Once I received flowers and had a long, narrow box. Anakin, who is shaped like a barrel (he’s a bit on the chubby side) some how managed to fit himself into the long, skinny box. ūüôā

There is a website dedicated to photographs of cats being silly and hiding out in places they really shouldn’t be. It’s called Get Out of There Cat. There you will find user submitted photographs¬†of their cats being… cats!

Get Out of There Cat has also been turned into a¬†humorous book, filled with photos and brief stories about crazy cats. The¬†book is also called Get Out of There¬†Cat! It’s written by Kristina Knapp and Sam Stall.

Get Out of There Cat! features 150 full color photographs of silly cats hanging out in clothes dryers, taking bubble baths, trying to stowe away in people luggage and more. Most photos are accompanied by funny captions.

This is a hardcover book that contains 144 pages. It is not available yet, but will be on March 5, 2013. I found the book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble (B&N currently has the best price for the book :-)).

The book is broken down into different sections;

  • Introduction
  • Disasters Waiting to Happen
  • You Found Her Where?
  • Sending a Message
  • Too Cute
  • Out Cold
  • Just Plain Wrong
  • Stuck
  • Cats and Their Friends
  • Helping

As you can see by the table of contents the book is not just about cats found sleeping in odd locations. It also features other silly cat photos.

As a cat lover I can appreciate the funny cat photos featured in the book. I find cats very entertaining and this book just proves that our feline friends have a great sense of humor too.

This is a delightful book for cat lovers. I would liken it to a coffee table book. I also think this would make a fun gift for the cat lover in your life.

Look for Get Out of There Cat! where ever books are sold.
