Are you still on the look out for a Mother’s Day gift for that special someone?
Flowers are always a great choice, especially if they come in a vase/vessel that can be re-purposed/reused again and again.
I’m all for chocolates. I LOVE chocolate! I’ll gladly accept chocolate any day of the year.
Other wonderful Mother’s Day gift ideas include dinner out, cleaning the entire house so mom doesn’t have to, a clean car (inside and out), gift cards to their favorite stores, books on their “must read” list, a day at a spa, getting their hair and/or nails done and just an entire day to herself to rest and relax.
As a mom I’ll gladly accept any of these gift ideas.
Sometimes moms want gifts that they can enjoy year round. Jewelry is usually a great choice if you want to give a gift that can be used and enjoyed year round for many years to come.
Have you heard of Pictures on Gold? If you are a regular reader of She Scribes you might recall that I have written about them before.
Pictures on Gold offers consumers beautiful, high quality pieces of jewelry some of which can be laser engraved with your photos, making it a truly unique gift that will be treasured for a life time.
I was recently asked to review a Build Your Own Sterling Silver 2-Picture Heart Locket. This precious heart shaped locket allows the consumer to design the front, back and both sides of the inside of the locket.
Inside the locket you can upload your favorite photos to have them laser engraved on to the jewelry.
It is so easy to Design Your Own Locket. ANYONE can do it. You don’t need any special skills. Simply select which side of the locket you want to personalize, choose the type of personalization you want, and then check over the proof to make sure it’s exactly the way you want it. Once you are 100% satisfied you can go ahead and process the order.
You’ll see what is available for each side of the locket. For example, here are your options for the front of the locket.
There are a lot of choices when it comes to the clipart. They have everything from people, animals, symbols, careers and so much more.
I chose the Chinese symbol for “Family” for my locket. I also uploaded a photo of me and my husband on the left side and our son and daughter on the right side. I left the back of the locket blank.
Here is the “proof” of my locket. It’s clearer than the photos I am able to take of mine (my photos are not as good).
The locket is so lovely in person. I love it! It’s also easy to open. I have had lockets in the past that were really hard to open up to see the photo/photos inside. That is not the case with this locket.
You also get your choice of chains to make it suit the giftee’s preferences (I prefer longer chains because I have a thick neck).
Pictures on Gold carries a variety of jewelry to suit anyone’s tastes including jewelry for men and children.

Pictures on Gold would like to offer a lucky reader the same locket I was sent to review which can be personalized just like I did with mine.
