Many people are still scrambling to figure out what to give that special lady in their life for Mother’s Day. Flowers and chocolates are always a nice gift idea. So it a spa day, a nice dinner or just a day of rest and relaxation.
Some people like to give gifts to “wow” the recipient. Others like to give gifts that are practical and you can get much use out of it. If you like both “wow” gifts and practical gifts, I have a great gift idea for you. It’s from Soundfreaq.
What is Soundfreaq? Soundfreaq is the maker of a critically acclaimed line of wireless speakers. In addition they also offer a wireless speaker/alarm clock product called Sound Rise.
Just in time for Mother’s Day (as well a great graduation/off to college gift), Soundfreaq has teamed up with the husband and wife design team, Robert and Cortney Novogratz. Perhaps you have seen their show on HGTV?
Together Soundfreaq and the Novogratz have designed the Sound Rise Flower Freaq.
Flower Freaq is a modern wireless bedroom speaker and alarm clock that combines The Novogratz’ unique designs with one of Soundfreaq’s most popular and successful products, Sound Rise.
Serving the style conscious, sound savvy music lover, Soundfreaq’s Sound Rise blooms as the colorful Flower Freaq featuring a stunning Horticouture floral print from artist Carly Ralph. And just as Soundfreaq’s speakers are meticulously sound crafted, each Flower Freaq unit is handcrafted, making each speaker pattern slightly unique.
Sound Rise Flower Freaq adds a fun, colorful design to the nightstand while delivering rich sound and the convenience Bluetooth streaming.
“Our speakers are designed to complement your home décor, and working with The Novogratz to add their design aesthetic to Sound Rise takes it to the next level and brings our bedroom speaker and alarm clock to the forefront to accent your room,” said Matthew Paprocki, co-founder and creative director of Soundfreaq. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with them again and to continue bringing their unique style into even more homes.”
The limited edition speaker is currently available at Soundfreaq.com for $99.
I really like the design. Not only do I love the flowers, I love that it incorporates so many beautiful colors. It would fit nicely in just about any home. It would match most decor.
“We believe home décor and music are a true reflection of who you are, which is why we always love teaming up with Soundfreaq. Sound Rise’s simple, smart, and modern design combined with our colorful, bold ideas allow consumers to bring more music and home decor into their lives – and who doesn’t love waking up and getting ready to their favorite song every day in style” said Robert and Cortney Novogratz.
It’s lovely. I would love to receive one as a gift. I would rather wake up to my favorite song and NOT the BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! of our current alarm.
We have a Soundfreaq. My son uses it. We have the wood and taupe version.
My son had this up and running almost right out of the box. He unplugged his previous alarm clock (one that was pretty much brand new) and told us to give it away or toss it out because he didn’t need it anymore. LOL! He’s been using the Soundfreaq every day since we received it to review.
Here is a brief video about Soundfreaq.
What my son likes most about it is not the ability to stream music, but rather being able to dim the numbers. That was his #1 complaint about his former alarm clock. He said the numbers were so bright that the light filled the room. He had to put something over it just so the light didn’t keep him up at night. What good is having a clock when you can’t see the time?
Sound Rise allows you to dim the light from the number display. You can even make it go dark if you want.
My son also likes that he can charge his phone from the Sound Rise. As a typical teen his battery is pretty much dead before he goes to bed. He simply plugs in his phone to the Sound Rise and then next morning when he wakes up his phone is fully charged and ready for another day of texting and Snapchat. LOL!
Not that he’s had a use for it yet, but Sound Rise gives you week day and weekend alarms. On the weekend my son would rather sleep in. He hasn’t used the clock to wake up on the weekend. But that is a great feature to have.
I like that you don’t have to use the alarm chime to wake up if you don’t want to. You can choose to wake up to your own music instead. While I do appreciate not having to listen to my son’s alarm clock go BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! (after jolting out of bed to my alarm clock), I rather not hear his music either. Ha Ha.
My teen daughter wants one of her own. She wants the Flower Freaq.
I like that it’s made out of wood. I think it gives it a unique look. Plus it doesn’t highlight all the dust that seems to magically appear every time I dust off dark colored alarm clocks.
The clock looks big in the photos, but it’s actually small. It takes up next to no room on my son’s dresser.
You might not be able to Flower Freaq in time for Mother’s Day, however you can still get this for mom. I also think it would make a great graduation gift. This is the perfect alarm clock for a college student. I also think this would be the perfect Father’s Day gift (the wood/taupe clock is very “manly.”).
You don’t even have to use this as an alarm clock. It serves as a clock, wireless speakers and a phone charger too.
