I enjoy making regular trips to our local Rite Aid store because you never know what awesome finds you’ll stumble across. I love that Rite Aid has everything from beauty and health to grocery and seasonal decor. Rite Aid is literally a “on stop shop” for almost all of your needs.
I plan on making a trip in the very near future to check out their fall and Halloween decor.
Rite Aid sent me a box of goodies try out. All of the products can be found at our local Rite Aid store.
Essie Gel Setter – I’m not much of a nail person, but my daughter sure is. She goes to the nail salon every few weeks to get her tips filled in. She also loves to change her nail color often.
One of her favorite brands of Essie. I love their colors.
The Essie Gel Setter is a top coat that goes on over your favorite Essie nail color to give it a rock hard, yet brilliant shine. My daughter uses this to protect her nail color and keep them from chipping or fading. She tells me that she really likes this and it’s helped her nails out a lot.
DripDrop Hydration Drops – This powder can be added to water to help replenish electrolytes lost from being ill, heat or exercise.
Although these are referred to as “drops,” it’s actually power in individually wrapped packages. To use them simply mix the packet with water after (or during) exercise or if you are overheated or not felling well. The powder contains the electrolyte your body needs which can often be loss due to exercise, heat or illness.
Mix the powder well otherwise it will clump up.
The flavor is not so bad. It’s not too sweet (I’m not a fan of sweet beverages) and the flavor is enjoyable.
Reese’s Spreads Snackers – Oh my! These are SO GOOD! Graham crackers, peanut butter and chocolate – need I say more. I’ll be sure to pick up more of these when I make my way to Rite Aid in the near future.
I LOVE Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups so there was no doubt that I wouldn’t love this snack treat too.
Manuka Honey – This is an interesting product. It’s honey that can be used for cuts, scratches and burns. I would never in a million years think to use honey to treat a minor wound or burn. It can also be used as a gentle exfoliate to brighten and moisturize your skin. I haven’t use it yet in this capacity. I keep it in our First Aid kit. I have not have the opportunity to use it yet (thankfully) but I’m sure eventually someone in my family might need it.
Eddie Funkhouser – I love this brand’s products. I have never met an Eddie Funkhouser product that I didn’t like.
Rite Aid sent me three products from Eddie Funkhouser.
Luxlight Hydrating Primer – This is a primer that goes on underneath your foundation to help keep your skin hydrated and it helps to set your foundation. Personally I use this without a foundation. I don’t like to wear too much make up. I like this product because it adds just a wee bit of color to my skin and it helps to even out my skin tone. I top it off with the Luxlight Illuminator Pen and some face power. I think it makes my skin look better and not as “dull” as it normally looks.
Luxlight Illuminator Pen – This is an interesting product. It looks like an eyeliner, but it’s not. It contains a creamy liquid make up that you apply to your skin directly from the pen. You can use your finger to make sure it is applied evenly.
This doesn’t contain any glitter but it does have a pearlescent look to it. You can use this to highlight areas of your face such as your cheek bones and around your eyes. It’s essentially a highlighter, but in liquid form and delivered by a pen-like product. I use to highlight the top of my cheeks.
Ultra Definition Bronze & Sculpt Power – You can’t tell from the photo but the colors are the brown/bronze family. I haven’t used this product yet. I have very pale skin and bronzer doesn’t always look right on it. I might use this to accentuate my cheeks a bit, making it appear that I have cheek bones. My daughter – who has olive skin thanks to y husband who is 100% Italian – can use this. I’ll probably end up giving it to her.
Covergirl Bloom Mascara – I was not blessed with long lashes. My husband, son and daughter all have gorgeous eyelashes. I don’t think it’s fair that men get long eyelashes. I think only women should. LOL!
I don’t want to go to work looking like I am ready to head out to a night club. I like to keep my daily make-up to a minimum, however I do need help with the eyelashes.
I like this mascara because it adds fullness and length WITHOUT giving an artificial/fake eyelash look. I want fullness and length without going overboard. This mascara delivers. It gives my lashes the look I am going for.
If you like fake eyelashes then you might be interested in trying Julie G Lashes. I have not tried these yet only because I haven’t had a need for them.
L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara – If you want the look of fake eyelashes, but don’t want the hassle of gluing them on and having them come loose, then try L’Oreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara. This mascara gives you the same look – but in a mascara.
This is a mascara and primer all in one.
This is the ideal mascara to use when you are planning to hit the town with your friends or go on a date night with that special someone. This mascara gives you lush, thick, long lashes.
I wish I was able to take facial photos to show you the difference between this mascara and regular mascara. It’s like “night and day.”
Covergirl Outlast Lipwear Lipstick and Lave Lip Gloss – I don’t often wear lipstick, unless I am getting dressed up. I normally wear lip balm and lip gloss.
Covergirl Outlast Lipwear Lipstick is available in really beautiful colors. It applies easily and lasts for a long time. What I like about this lipstick is that it doesn’t dry out my lips or leave a sticky residue.
I LOVE the Lave Lip gloss. Not only is it a pretty color it has just the right amount of “sparkle” without looking tacky. I don’t want glittery lips! This lip gloss does have glitter in it but when applied to your lips it gives it a shimmery appearance. I love this one so much that I keep it in my purse. It adds a touch of color to your lips too.
These goodies from Rite Aid came at a great time. My daughter is on a potent medication for her acne which is really drying out her skin. The dermotologist told her to start apply moisturizer from her head to her toes to prevent the medication from really damaging her skin. One of her friends was on the same medication and his skin dried out so much it cracked and bled.
Rite Aid sent me some face and body wash and moisturizer that is working out great for my daughter.
SebaMed Body Lotion and Body Wash – This wash and lotion is perfect for people like my daughter who have super sensitive skin. Normally she doesn’t but the medication she is on is reaping havoc on her skin.
I have used both products myself. I love how the wash cleans your face and body without drying it out or leaving a residue on your skin. Your skin feeling totally clean and ready for the light, refreshing body lotion.
We’ve only been using these products for a little while, but so far, so good. I’m curious to see what her dermatologist has to say aobut her skin when she sees him again in a few weeks.
Dove Quench Absolute Shampoo and Conditioner – I have very course, thick, wavy hair. It’s not easy to find products that provide my hair with moisturizer without weighing it down.
I’ve been enjoying this shampoo and conditioner. It rinses out fairly easy (even for my hair). I haven’t noticed as many knots as I normally do and it leaves my hair feeling very soft. Even my husband commented on how soft my hair felt (like likes to run his fingers through my hair).
My daughter has long, VERY thick hair too and she she says she loves how her hair feels using this shampoo and conditioner combo too.
A little bit goes a long way, especially with the conditioner. You need just a small amount to condition your hair. I made the mistake the first time of using too much. You don’t need to.
I like squeeze bottles too. It helps when you are trying to get the last bit of shampoo out (it’s easier than shaking a bottle up and down violently to bring the remaining shampoo or conditioner to the opening).
One last product Rite Aid sent me that I REALLY needed was Alive brand vitamins. I had recently run out of my multi-vitamin so it arrived just in time.
I see the commercials for the Alive products and they always make me laugh. The women are always so happy and full of energy. I WISH I felt that way. LOL!
I’ve been taking these vitamins for a few weeks now. I don’t feel like singing and dancing like the ladies in the commercial, but I do like the idea of knowing that my body is getting the important vitamins and minerals it needs.
The gummies also taste great. I’m a big fan of gummy vitamins.
All of these products are available at your local Rite Aid store. To find a Rite Aid location near you visit www.RiteAid.com. Rite Aid can also be found on the various social media channels.
Have you tried any of these products yet? If so, which one/ones?
