As I sit here writing some blog posts I find myself looking outside the window at the heavy wet snow that is slowly melting outside. It’s been a long and miserable winter. I am counting the days until it’s spring time. I’m not necessarily looking forward to the rain and all the mud that will be trekked into our home, but I am looking forward to chirping birds, budding leaves and flowers. Not only that, sunshine and blue skies would be a nice change of pace from the gloomy winter.
Nickelodeon Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Media Distribution want to bring a touch of spring into your family’s life with the release of new DVDs from your favorite Nickelodeon characters – Dora the Explorer, Max & Ruby and Peter Rabbit.
The collection is called Essentially Spring and each one has a special DVD sleeve.
Some of the DVDs are also based on Easter which is on April 20, 2014. These would make great additions to Easter baskets. Unlike candy these DVDs can be enjoyed again and again, year after year.
The DVDs are available today (February 18, 2014) where most movies are sold.

I have these DVDs that were sent to me to review. I’ve already watched bits and pieces of several of the DVDs (mostly Max & Ruby and Peter Rabbit). Max & Ruby were my son’s favorite television series when he was younger. We still have his Max & Ruby plush toys too.
I didn’t know that there was a series on TV for Peter Rabbit. It’s a wonderful program. If you haven’t checked it out yet you should. It’s adorable. The characters are very likable too. I like Benjamin Bunny. He’s my favorite. Flopsy and Mopsy (twins) are cute too.
When I think “Peter Rabbit” I think about Easter. It’s nice to know that the show’s writers have turned this classic children’s character into so much more than the bunny who delivers Easter baskets.
If you want to learn more about any of these series, watch full episodes or even find some fun craft and recipe ideas visit www.NickJr.com.
Look for the Essentially Spring DVDs where most DVDs are sold.
