When you hear the name Lisa Vanderpump many reality TV fans know her from the
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Others might recall her time on another popular reality show, Dancing with the Stars.
Lisa recently partnered up with folks at I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter to create a series of “Breakfast After Dark” webisodes showing you how she keeps things hot in the kitchen with her hubby and the other men in her life, by enjoying her favorite breakfast foods for dinner.
Enjoy breakfast at dinner time is not unheard of. In fact I know many people who do that, myself included. There have been times where I’ve made scrambled eggs or pancakes for dinner. My family has even ordered breakfast foods for dinner if we eat out at the diner. Sometimes you just have a craving for something traditionally seen as a breakfast food.
I had the opportunity to ask Lisa a few questions about her part in the Breakfast After Dark campaign, as well as a few of her favorite foods to prepare after dark.
What is your favorite meal to make with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter after dark? – My favorite meal to make with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter is a fresh truffle pasta with mushrooms and Parmesan cheese. If you really want to be indulgent, do it with fresh truffles! It’s so worth it.
What is your favorite snack to make with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter? A jacket potato with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! It’s so easy – put a potato in the oven for an hour, spread fresh I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter on, and maybe some cheese! Oh, and some turkey bacon – it’s delicious!
What is your favorite breakfast? I love scrambled eggs, with a little milk, salt, pepper and I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. I also love my gluten free toast with I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter. Or the Hearty Veggie Frittata that we made for the Breakfast After Dark campaign, which you can check out at icantbelieveitsnotbutter.com!
How did you get involved with this campaign? I am passionate about food, I put out a cookbook, I have restaurants – so when it comes to food, I could only represent something that was truly authentic to me. If you know me and follow me on Twitter (@LisaVanderpump), you know that I’m not going to talk about something I don’t know anything about or actually use in my own life. I use I Can’t Believe Butter in my restaurants and at home! And I use it in my recipes and we shot the program webisodes in my house, featuring the people in my life.
Do you have fun taping the webisodes? Oh absolutely! I was allowed to play a part in the creative vision so they could look the way I liked. They were just very true to me – me at home and that’s the way I like it. I wasn’t put in a sterile studio surrounding, it was my life! So, yes, it was very fun!
Are the webisodes really filmed in your own kitchen? Yes – and that was very important to me. Being on a show like Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, everyone knows what my kitchen looks like. I wanted them to be shot in my kitchen and be about my life so it was very authentic.
Do you have much input into what recipes are featured in the webisodes? Are these recipes you personally create at home too? We worked on the recipes together – they needed to be quick and simple – so easy that Ken could even make them! They’re absolutely recipes I make at home; the Toasted Breakfast Burrito, the Italian Skillet Eggs, they’re the perfect way to put a spin on breakfast recipes that can be enjoyed after dark.
What is your favorite “After Dark” meal to make with your husband? The Cauliflower Crust Pizza, which my chef from Villa Blanca helped invent.
What are your best tips for making things “hot” in the kitchen? Make it fun! I think it’s quite good fun to cook with your husband if your kids are in bed. Put the candles on the table – always set the table beautifully. Just sex it up a bit!
When you are cooking “After Dark” are you always dressed up or do you cook dressed down too? Both – it depends on what I’m doing but I like my husband to look at me and like what he’s seeing, let’s put it that way 😉
You can find the Breakfast After Dark webisodes on the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter website. Simply visit www.ICantBelieveItsNotButter.com. Once on the website click on the tab (on top) that says Breakfast After Dark to be taken to Lisa’s page and after dark recipes.
One of my favorite recipes that I really want to try is the Italian Skillet recipe. The video is below.
Mmmm! Doesn’t that look delicious!
Do you enjoy making breakfast after dark? What is your favorite after dark breakfast recipe? Do you have a recipe that utilizes I Can’t Believe It’s Not Bugger? Feel free to comment and let me know.

I love I Can’t Believe Its Not Butter, especially love to bake with it and then of course use the spray butter as well.

she makes cooking look so glamorous! I don’t cook breakfast after dark as much as I sometimes have supper for breakfast! I like using these products over freshly steamed veggies, it makes broccoli, etc. sooo tasty!
