I have a very nice selection of jewelry. Sadly most of it is in storage in my father’s basement. We had packed up most of our stuff when our condo was on the market and moved it to my father’s basement (he lives upstate). My jewelry box was in one of the boxes we brought up there. I haven’t seen most of my jewelry in almost three years.
When I was younger I always wore jewelry. I had necklaces, bracelets and earrings in just about every color to match all my outfits. The older I got the less jewelry I wore. These days I don’t wear as much jewelry as I used to. I also tend to stick to pieces that have special meaning to me rather than something that matches the outfit I am wearing.
I am a big fan of personalized jewelry. I have several pieces with either my children’s and husband’s name or initials engraved on it, their birthstones or something else that has personal meaning to me.
Many months ago I received a beautiful necklace from Isabelle Grace Jewelry. It was a simple necklace with a charm on it that read “To the Moon and Back.” It also featured a little golden moon on it.
I love that saying, “I love you to the moon and back.” I have said that to my kids many times over the years – and to my husband too. When ever I think about that saying I think of my kids when they were little. They are teenagers now and I miss those days when they were still little children.
This is what my necklace looked like.
It was such a pretty necklace. I have a thick neck and it still fit me just fine. It was a perfect length too.
Because of the coloring it matched with just about anything I wore.
Sadly my necklace broke. It got caught in my hair (unbeknownst to me at the time). When I went to pull my hair up to put it in a ponytail I didn’t know it was snagged on my hair. When I encountered the snag my first impulse was to pull harder – which I did – and in doing so I broke the chain.
Sigh…
I knew I could fix it with another “jump ring.” I intended to take a ring from a necklace I didn’t wear much to fix the chain.
I put the necklace in my coat pocket until I got home. When I got home I totally forgot about it (I’m a mom – I’m always being pulled in a million directions). A few days later I remembered that I needed to fix the necklace, but when I went to retrieve it from my coat pocket it was GONE.
I looked everywhere for it. I have never been able to find it. The only thing I can assume is that it got caught on my car keys when I put them in my coat pocket and when I took the keys out they probably fell out. That means the necklace could have been anywhere – our parking lot, the parking lot at work, in a store… I have no clue.
It’s not easy to do a review on a product no longer in your possession, but I can tell you for the few weeks that I did have it I loved it. It was made very well (despite me yanking it off my neck with my hair). And it was so lovely. I wish I still had it. I would be wearing it today if I did.
Isabelle Grace Jewelry offers a beautiful section of personalized jewelry, including jewelry for men and children.
Here is just a little tease of the wonderful jewelry found at Isabella Grace Jewelry.
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are both coming up in the next couple of months. What mother wouldn’t appreciate a personalized piece of jewelry to celebrate her special day. Or how about a “Super Dad” key chain for that special day in your life.
Communion/Confirmation season is also upon us. We already have our first invitation to our neighbor’s communion. I already have my eye on this necklace for her.
If personalized jewelry is not you thing, Isabelle Grace Jewelry also carries plenty of non-personalized jewelry to choose from too.
I LOVE the leaf earrings.
Isabelle Grace Jewelry is not that expensive either. Many pieces are in the $25 – $50 range.
Personalized jewelry is made to order. Non-personalized jewelry ships quickly.
