Make someone laugh & smile with Cuddle Barn

Cuddle Barn Logo

About a month or so ago I learned about a website called Cuddle Barn. Cuddle Barn carriers cute, animated plush toys. I’m sure you have seen similar items, especially around the holidays. If you frequent places like Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aide or Duane Reed you have probably seen plush animals that you press a button and they sing and dance. Those are the types of products that Cuddle Barn carriers, but with one huge exception – Cuddle Barn animated plush toys are so much nicer!

On my first visit to the Cuddle Barn website I must have spent well over an hour on the site. Almost all of their products have videos to show you what they look and sound like in action. Several of them made me laugh like crazy! I even shared the link to some of them with friends and family, as well as posted about them on my personal Facebook page (I maybe have posted on my blog’s Facebok page too).

The one that cracked me up the most is a standing cow that sings and dances to the Maroon 5 song “Moves Like Jagger”, or in this case, MOO’s Like Jagger. ūüôā

Check out the video. I challenge you not to smile (or even laugh) when you watch this. If you are reading this post via e-mail you can find the video here, http://bit.ly/Woio0z (product page).

I love how he rolls his shoulders around.

I actually received Moo’s Like Jagger to review. To give you an idea of how much I enjoyed him I went ahead and purchased two more Cuddle Barn products within days of receiving Moo’s Like Jagger.

Sometimes when you purchase something “sight unseen” it’s not always as nice as it appears on the Internet. That is NOT the case with Cuddle Barn. The Moo’s Like Jagger toy is just as nice as it appears on the site and it works exactly the same way. I was concerned that the movements and sounds were not going to be a nice as they appear in the video on the site. I was concerned that they might have used used special effects or sound machines to make it sound clear. Nope… what you hear in the video is as loud and clear as it sounds in person. The cow even moves the same exact way.

Cuddle Barn¬†has an entire section for their holiday plush. Several of them stood out to me right away. One is Harmony, the angel bear that plays the violin. We have another angel bear, but her wing is broken off. She play’s the song “Silent Night” as her wings flutter back and forth, or in this case¬†wing since she only has one. When I saw Harmony (who also plays “Silent Night”) I knew I had to have her to replace our single wing bear.

Harmony plays “Silent Night” on her violin as her wings gently open and close. They also light up and change colors as she plays her tune. She is truly beautiful to watch.

Below is her video. You can also see it on the product page (linked above under Harmony).

Her movement is fluid and life like. She doesn’t jerk around like lesser quality animated toys do. She doesn’t come across as being robotic. She looks like a bear who is really playing the violin.

I also picked up another holiday bear. His name is Christmas Cheeks. I think he got the most play this holiday out of both bears. That is because my son said he sounds like he should be on a street corner in New York City (my son LOVES the city). I understand exactly what he means. When he hears the toy play his Saxophone it does sound like something you would hear during the holiday season on the streets of NYC.

Christmas Cheeks cheeks really do move too! They go up and down, as if he’s taking a breath so he can blow more air through the Saxophone. His cheeks light up too, but it’s very subtle.

Not only is he adorable but his music is beautiful too.

Christmas Cheeks video is above. If you are reading this via e-mail visit his product page (linked above under his name) if you want to see him in action.

Before you question why I didn’t take my own video – I actually did! If you have an iPhone you know you need to hold the phone a certain way to video tape. When I uploaded my videos to my computer they were all sideways. This is what I saw on my computer. Not only was the video file side ways but the video played sideways too!

I deleted the videos I made for Moo’s Like Jagger, Christmas Cheeks and Harmony. For some reason I neglected to delete a video I made for another Cuddle Barn plush toy called Talking Tom (as seen above). For the fun of it I uploaded it to YouTube to see if there was a way to turn it right side up. YouTube did it for me. So I do have his video. Sadly the Christmas ones are packed away so I can’t redo the videos for them.

Talking Tom is different then the other plush toys. He doesn’t dance or play music, but he does talk. In fact he repeats everything you say to him in a funny voice. His mouth moves when he talks too.

Tom is easy to use. Simply press his foot and wait for a little red light to appear on his bell. Then talk to him. Tom will record and repeat up to 10 seconds at a time. When you no longer want to play with Tom simply leave him alone and don’t talk to him and he’ll go into sleep mode in a few minutes.

My kids have fun playing with Tom. He has a silly voice which cracks them up. They love to get him to say weird things (most of the times not even words – just silly sounds that they make). I often hear my kids laughing over Tom. He’s certainly getting a lot of play time from my kids.

Here is a brief video I made for Tom (as seen above). You can also find it here, http://bit.ly/UJt1gW.

You can see why Talking Tom would be a huge hit with kids, and adults too!

Cuddle Barn carries so many other wonderful, entertaining and fun talking, singing and/or dancing plush critters. Some of my other favorites includes Mother Goose who tells Nursery Rhymes (this would make a great baby shower or new baby gift!), Story Time Teddy (he recites the story ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas), My Little Puppy (he wins the “Awwww Factor” – he sings If Your Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands and is SO CUTE!) and Fred and Astelle (dancing pigs!).

There are entertaining critters to show someone you love them (romance), to celebrate a birthday, for a new baby and so many other occasions. Of course one of the best reasons of all is a “just because” gift. Cuddle Barn animated plush toys are a great way to bring a smile to someone’s face. These would be fun to give someone who is sick or just needs a little “pick me up”. They are fun for both young and old.

If you would like to check them out for youself (most of the products have videos) visit Cuddle-Barn.com or Store.Cuddle-Barn.com. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter.
