Are you a fan of Peet’s coffee? To be hones with you I have never tried Peet’s coffee until now. I have heard of the brand, I just never had the opportunity to try any.
If you are a fan of the brand, and happen to own a single cup brewer (Keurig), then you are in luck. Peet’s now offers several of it’s popular coffee blends in single serve cups. Now you can enjoy your favorite Peet’s coffee at home.
The retail price for a box of 10 cups is $10.99.
These are the blends that are currently available as single serve cups.
Major Dickason’s Blend® — Conceived by one of the first Peetniks and refined by Mr. Peet—and Peet’s all-time best seller—Major Dickason’s combines the best origin coffees from the world’s premier growing regions, each imparting distinctive regional characteristics while still effortlessly rounding into a smooth, balanced cup.
Café Domingo® — The three Latin American coffees in this carefully crafted blend were selected for their balance and brightness, and the roast is fine-tuned to brew the perfect medium-bodied cup.
French Roast — Peet’s French Roast is not a coffee for the cautious, but for those who embrace the powerful taste, pronounced smoky overtones and pleasant bite.
House Blend — First crafted by Alfred Peet, this blend of carefully selected, choice beans from Latin American origins brews a quality cup that’s uniquely rich and approachable, with a pleasant spiciness.
Decaf House Blend — The bright, balanced flavors and medium body make Decaf House Blend so inviting and easy to love, Alfred Peet used to call it a “starter coffee.”
I have never had Peet’s coffees before so I can’t compare the single serve flavor to that of the original.
As per the company;
Peet’s uses the same beans and hand-roasted process for Single Cups that customers expect and appreciate from a cup of Peet’s. Each Single Cups variety was designed with a specific dose of coffee per cup and a distinct grind parameter, measured to the micron, to highlight the taste profile of the blend. Instead of the standard paper filter that traps flavor, Peet’s uses the RealCup™ patented mesh-like filter that allows essential coffee oils and flavors into the cup, producing a cup that meets Peet’s exacting standards.
According to the CEO of Peet’s Coffee & Tea it took them five years and approximately 2,000 tries before they were able to achieve the perfect cup of Peet’s coffee in a single use cup.
Did you know that 19% of Americans who drink coffee each day consume it with a single cup brewer? It’s no wonder that many popular brands of coffee are now exploring the single cup option brewing option.
I had the opportunity to try out the Peet’s single cups. So far I think my favorite is a toss up between the House Blend and Café Domingo®. I really like the Major Dickason’s Blend® blend too, even though it’s a very strong cup of coffee. I’ve never been much of a fan of French Roast coffees and I haven’t tried the Decaf House Blend yet because I need my caffeine. LOL!
I can see why Peet’s has a loyal following. I’m a big time coffee drinker so it takes a lot to impress me and I was honestly impressed by their coffee. It was full flavored and very enjoyable. They stood out a bit from other single serve coffee cups I’ve tried in the past. They also had a bit of a “kick” to them.
If I saw Peet’s on the store shelf I would definitely purchase them.

I don’t drink coffee, but my hubby just loves it! He likes Peet’s coffee, but doesn’t get it very often because it can be costly. He has a Keurig but at $1 a cup I can’t justify the cost. But I will buy him a box for his birthday or the holidays. That way they will be a special treat!

We love coffee and my daughter has a keurig but I don’t believe she has ever tried these. I agree with Robin, a bit costly but if it’s great coffee I can understand that as we’d pay that amount if we went out or more.

I’m an avid coffee drinker and so is my husband. We would love to try Peet’s Coffee, especially French Roast and Major Dickason’s Blend. From what I’ve heard and read, they make pretty good coffee and that’s reason enough to give it a try. Had no idea 19% of Americans use single cup brewers though. I’m missing out, I really need to get one 🙂

Thanks for the review. Since we got a Keurig, we don’t use much coffee that doesn’t come pre-packaged in K-cups. Good to hear that Peet’s will be a good alternative to watch for in the stores.
