If you are a current shopper at Sears or Kmart you have most likely heard of the rewards program called Shop Your Way Rewards. With Shop Your Way Rewards you earn points on all your purchases from these stores. The point can be redeemed towards great discounts on future purchases. As a family who lives on a strict budget having these special discounts can be a tremendous help. Especially this time of the year when we have a lot of holiday shopping to do.

You don’t have to “jump through hoops” to earn rewards points. Simply use your Shop Your Way Rewards account whenever you make a purchase and you’ll automatically earn points.

This holiday season you can win many rewards points and great prizes through the Shop Your Way Rewards Program with a cool app feature called Win Your Way. With Win Your Way you can enter to win rewards points that will go towards your Shop Your Way account plus other great tangible prizes. Some of the prizes include 100,000 rewards points, movie bundle, cushion ring and an ultimate toy package.

If you are already a Shop Your Way Rewards member then you are already set to enter the contests. If you do not have a membership that is fine. You can create an account quickly and easily. You can even register with your Twitter or Facebook accounts.

Once you are a member you can check out all the great Win Your Way contests.

Here is a little more information about the Win Your Way program.

Win Your Way is an app that is part of the Shop Your Way social shopping platform. Members will find a constant stream of new and unique sweepstakes with prizes including: Shop Your Way Rewards points, trips to locations around the country, jewelry, clothing, appliances, tools, and gadgets.

There are different contests added all the time. Most only last for a couple of days so you should check back often to make sure you don’t miss out.

Talenti Talent Search – #Win a year worth of Talenti Gelato!

About a year ago I did a review for Talenti Gelato. From that moment on I have been hooked on their products. I was TRILLED when I found it at my local grocery store. I just wish our local store carried more of their delicious flavors.

I know that others are fans of this amazing gelato. That is why I thought some of my readers might be interested in this contest.

Talenti Gelato e Sorbetto has launched the “Talenti Talent Search” video contest. It was inspired by the “Talenti Gelato Makes Music” video.

The contest encourages the online community to submit videos of their talents using Talenti Gelato containers, for a chance to win 52 pints of gelato! That is a whole year’s worth of gelato (one container per week).

If I had any talent I would enter just for the chance to win. I would certainly stock up on the Sea Salt Caramel (my favorite!).

Get Into Gear with NASCAR Pro Jeff Gordon (Sears Gift Card Giveaway)

Let’s play a game of Word Association. When I say the word “Teflon”, what is the first thing that comes to mind? If you are like me you probably thing pots and pans. I have several pans and a couple of pots that are coated with Teflon nonstick protection. I don’t think I would even entertain the thought of owning a pot or pan without it.

One thing I would never associate with the Teflon brand is clothing. That is until now.

Teflon has teamed up with Craftsman, a very popular brand that is carried by Sears, to create a clothing line. I’m sure many people who just read that sentence got excited… Telfon…Craftsman…Clothing. I’m sure many people just thought about doing their holiday shopping at Sears to stock up on this clothing.

The clothing is geared towards men who love to roll up their sleeves and get down and dirty, whether it’s building something, tinkering around at the work bench, or just enjoying life.

Most clothing can be considered a “stain magnet” that grabs a hold of stains and dirt and no matter what you do you can never get rid of it. The new line of Craftsman clothing is protected with Teflon Fabric Protection which will greatly minimize the dirt and stains. They actually repel water and oil!

When you think about Craftsman you probably think about tools that were made to last. With the Teflon Fabric Protection on their clothing, their clothing is surely made to last too.

You would think that clothing with Teflon Fabric Protection would be stiff and uncomfortable to wear. That is not the case at all. My husband has two Craftsman Shirts that both have the Teflon Fabric Protection. They are both very comfortable to wear (as per my husband of course). I was actually very surprised by the tee shirt. It was really soft and comfortable. It’s as if he’s owned the shirt for a long time. It has that soft, well worn feel to it.

I was amazed at how well they washed too. I was concerned that after the first few times we washed them that they would not look as good as they did when we first received them. Both shirts look exactly like they did the very first time my husband put them on.

The tee shirt is in the clothes hamper right now (I rather not take a picture of a diry shirt – LOL) and the button up shirt is black and I am not having an easy time taking a picture of it. The flash makes it look all washed out and faded, which is not the case. It looks exactly like the shirt posted at the top of this post, but in a dark black color.

Craftsman clothing with Teflon Fabric Protection is available in tee shirts, button up shirts, pants, jackets, vests and more. Best of all the clothing is affordable. Even with the special fabric protection the clothing is affordably priced.

My husband loves the tee shirts and plans on purchasing more the next time we’re at Sears. I’d like to pick up some for my son too. After all boys are known to put their clothing through a lot of wear and tear.

Scott Naturals Four Week Test Drive – Week Four (Giveaway)

This is the fourth and final week of the Scott’s Natural Test Drive my family and I have been participating in. We’ve been using Scott Naturals toilet paper, napkings, wipes and paper towels. Overall I am very pleased with all of the products. Unlike other products that are made to be more “Earth friendly” I find the Scott Naturals products to be exactly like their non-Earth friendly counterparts as far as quality and strength. Since they are just as good as the as products made the traditional way it only makes better sense to use the Scott Naturals products since they are made with our environment in mind.

Participating in this month long campaign as given me food for thought. It’s so easy to go “green”. I can’t understand why some people are still so reluctant to make even the slightest changes to help our environment and ultimately ourselves.

Think about what a difference even the slightest changes can make in one year, five year and even ten years time. Imagine how many plastic bags would be kept from landfills if you used reusable tote bags in just one years time. Imagine how many plastic bags can be kept out of landfills if 10 people used reuslabe tote bags for that same one year time period. Such a minor change in your shopping habits can have such a HUGE impact, especially if combined with other people’s efforts.

Here is some more food for thought. I want you to take a few moments to think about each of these ideas and what a significant difference it can make in the matter of one year. Then try and imagine five and even ten years from now if you can.

- Using a re-usable coffee mug or travel mug instead of a paper or styrofoam cup.

- Walking instead of driving your car on short distances.

- Using re-usable containers and sandwich bags to make your lunch everyday for work and/or school.

- Re-purposing things instead of tossing them out (coffee cans as plant holders, paper rolls as napkin rings, baby food jars to store nails or paper clips…).

- Having one meatless meal per week (raising cattle causes millions of trees to be cut down and cleared away not to mention cow “gas” harms the ozone layer).

These are VERY simple and easy things that everyone can do. They require simple changes and nothing more. Think about what kind of an impact these changes will have in one years time.
