It’s hard to believe that in two weeks it will be the infamous “Black Friday”. It’s that one day out of the year that die hard shoppers and bargain hunters look forward to.
I made the attempt to go shopping on “Black Friday” about 10+ years ago. That was first, last and only “Black Friday” shopping experience. It was a nightmare! The lines were insane, people were rude and pushy and I really didn’t score any great deals. 🙁
This weekend, on Sunday, November 13, 2011, Sears is having their special Family and Friends event. Sears is offering better then “Black Friday” sales throughout their store. This is great news! I think it’s fantastic that I can get in on some great sales without having to deal with the insanity of “Black Friday”.
You can shop online all day, or in stores on Sunday from 6:oo – 9:00 PM.
Check out the great sales going on in all departments.

Personally I’m going to make sure to take advantage of this special sale. I have a teenage daughter who loves clothes. The 20% off clothing discount at Sears during their Family and Friends event is too good to pass up. We also need to replace several strands of indoor and outdoor Christmas lights, as well as look for a new outdoor Frosty the Snowman. That extra 10% off will come in handy.
Get a jump start on your holiday shopping and avoid the insanity of “Black Friday” by shopping at Sears this Sunday and take advantage of their Family and Friends event.
You can also follow Sears on Facebook, www.Facebook.com/Sears and on Twitter, www.Twitter.com/Sears and www.Twitter.com/SearsDeals. That way you’ll always be kept up-to-date on sales and events.
If you do take advantage of the Family and Friends sales event I would love to hear about what great deals you picked up. Please feel free to comment and let me know. I love a good “sale story”. 🙂
Happy Shopping!

I couldn’t agree more….when you wrote “I think it’s fantastic that I can get in on some great sales without having to deal with the insanity of “Black Friday” – and the key word was INSANITY definitely – LOL!

I took advantage of some of the deals Yesterday! Every little bit helps. I know I’d love to get in on those huge Black Friday discounts, but you’re right.. it’s a real nightmare. It’s such a stressful experience, I’d rather enjoy Thanksgiving to its fullest and not worry about camping out anywhere.
