I think this is so cool that I just had to share with my readers.
OREO is doing something totally, never before, done…they’re going arctic and taking over Antarctica! As OREO blows out the candles on its 100th birthday, it will be making its first-ever trip to Antarctica…a celebration so cool that even OREO Man, “Stufy” will be wearing earmuffs.
Check out the photos (above and below) of Stufy at the South Pole. Brrrr!!! It sure does look freezing.
I wonder what the big cruise ship is behind Stufy in the photo below. Humm…???
Today (Friday, December 14, 2012) OREO will surprise scientists at Palmer Station, Antarctica with a first-of-its-kind delivery of 5,000 OREO cookies. And it gets sweeter – the brand also made a donation that will give the world a chance to experience the wonders of the seventh continent for 100 years to come with Antarctica’s first solar-powered Penguin Cam (offering people everywhere the chance to see penguins throughout their life cycle live from Antarctica).
The timing couldn’t be more perfect. This special cookie delivery comes on the heels of the 100th anniversary of the first time people set foot on the South Pole. Both OREO and Antarctica can celebrate through the playful and imaginative eyes of OREO as they cap off their centennial celebrations.
Can you imagine 5,000 OREO cookies? Those scientists will be set for life when it comes to cookies.
I’m really excited to see the live feed of the penguins when the camera is set up. That is going to be so cool (no pun intended :-)).
