Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Mysteries

1980's version (L) and 2013 version (R)

1980’s version (L) and 2013 version (R)

Back in the 80’s Strawberry Shortcake was very popular. She started out as a cartoon character for a line of American Greetings cards but quickly spun into toys, dolls and even a television show. I was even caught up in the Strawberry Shortcake craze. I had several dolls including Huckleberry Pie, Blueberry Muffin and of course Strawberry Shortcake herself. Strawberry Shortcake and her friends were actually friends with my Holly Hobby dolls too (do you remember them?).

It’s nice to see that Strawberry Shortcake is still around. She’s changed A LOT over the years, as you can see in the above picture.

Now a whole new generation can be introduced to this berry sweet young lady and her friend with a new DVD that will be available on September 24, 2013 called Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Mysteries.

Get ready for mischief, mystery and marvelous good times in Strawberry Shortcake: Berry Bitty Mysteries.  You’ll follow the clues to fun and adventure as Strawberry and her pals learn to face their fears, become real-life heroines and find some missing VIP’s (Very Important Pets)!  It’s glimmery girl power to the rescue in these stories of friendship!
