I am so glad that an IHOP finally moved into our area. In fact, another one opened up at the mall so we now have two iHops.
I love trying the different menu options every time my family and I go there. My husband on the other hand ALWAYS orders the same thing – Chicken & Waffles. That is his favorite menu item. Out of the dozen or so times we’ve gone there he’s only ordered that.
I love it when IHOP offers new menu items. Sometime the items are only around for a limited time. That makes me sad because often then menu items are so delicious that I want to order them again and again with each visit. I hope that they reconsider sometimes and make these items a part of their regular menu.
IHOP’s latest addition are their Sweet Cream Belgium Waffles. I could not wait to try them out.
The Sweet Cream Waffles are available in three different varieties;
Berries & Cream Belgian Waffle – A traditional thick and crispy Belgian waffle topped with vanilla cream, whole blueberries, sliced glazed strawberries and finished with powdered sugar.
New! Cherries & Cream Belgian Waffle – A traditional thick and crispy Belgian waffle topped with vanilla cream, sweet black cherries, drizzled with dark chocolate sauce and finished with powdered sugar.
New! Bananas & Cream Belgian Waffle – A traditional thick and crispy Belgian waffle topped with vanilla cream, sliced bananas, honey-roasted pecans and finished with powdered sugar.
They all sound so good. It was hard to pick just one.
I decided on the Bananas & Cream Belgian Waffle. I love bananas and the idea of roasted pecans on top sounded so good to me.
Look at how delicious my stack of waffles were. MMMMM!!!!
You do get your choice of other items to go with it like eggs, sausage, bacon and home fries. To be honest the waffles alone are enough to make a meal. They are HUGE and very filling and satisfying.
You can see the rest of my breakfast in this photo (bottom plate). We had onion rings too. I LOVE their onion rings!
My son is eating Chicken & Waffles in the upper part of the photo too.
I was pleased with my choice. The roasted pecans mixed with the bananas and sweet cream with the perfect flavor combination.
I’m glad they didn’t give me an entire plate or I would have never been able to finish it all. Between the Sweet Cream Belgium Waffles, scrambled eggs, home fries and bacon I was stuffed!
You’ll have to hurry if you want to try out any of the Sweet Cream Belgium Waffle varieties. They are only going to be available for a limited time. These are one of limited menu options that I wish they would keep on the regular menu. I really loved the Bananas & Cream. I also wanted to have the opportunity to try the other flavors too.
I’m also very curious to see what new menu items they will offer after the Sweet Cream Belgium Waffles are no longer available.

Have you tried any of the Sweet Cream Belgium Waffles yet? Is there a Sweet Cream Belgium Waffles variety you would like to try?

You’re killing me with this one! I don’t even know how far away the nearest IHOP is–at least a couple of hundred miles. Waaaahhhh. I love IHOP, and I love waffles, and I want some of those sweet cream waffles! LOL
