Tune into the 2017 Kitten Bowl airing tomorrow on the Hallmark Channel

Tomorrow (Sunday, February 5, 2017) is the LI Super Bowl (51st). Will YOU be tuning in? Of course we will be, even if our team is not playing in it. After all, the Super Bowl is all about getting together with family and friends, having fun and enjoying a lot of delicious foods.

Not every one is into the Super Bowl. Or maybe they don’t want to tune in because their favorite team is not playing.

If you are looking for some family friendly, fun and fuzzy (yes, I said fuzz) entertainment on Super Bowl Sunday, check out the 2017 Kitten Bowl, airing at 12:00 (EST) / 11:00 (CST) on the Hallmark Channel.

Just like the NFL, the Kitten Bowl has a pre-game show, half time show, and championship playoffs.

The kitten bowl puts kitten against kitten – but in an adorable way. The game is played the same, but the kittens are more into playing with one another than actually getting the ball into the end zone.

The Kitten Bowl has been going on for the past few years. Not only is it fun, family entertainment, it’s also to help bring awareness to pet adoptions. All of the fuzzy participants are available at animals shelters and looking for their “fur-ever” homes.

I really like how the Kitten Bowl brings to light just how many wonderful animals are waiting at animal shelters across the country for families to adopt them.

On of this year’s Kitten Bowl players.

My family has adopted five cats from our local animal shelter (one has since died) and adopted a wild/feral kitten from our condo complex. Our dog is also adopted from our local animal shelter. We even adopted a hamster from our local animal shelter.

Believe it or not there are other animals looking for forever homes in shelters across the country in addition to cats and dogs. We’ve seen hamsters, birds, gerbils, rabbits, goats, ferrets, horses, pigs… you name it.

Thank goodness for programming like the Kitten Bowl to help shed light on this subject.

The Kitten Bowl is also a great option to watch with children who might be too young to stay up to watch the NFL Super Bowl. You can create the same party atmosphere watching the Kitten Bowl with younger children. Be sure to make plenty of yummy food and treats for them to enjoy while watching the Kitten Bowl games.

The Kitten Bowl is NOT just for children. It’s for people of all ages who love animals or simply enjoy watching adorable programming. I’m an adult and I enjoy watching the Kitten Bowl year after year. After a stressful week at work it’s great to sit and totally enjoy a show, while letting the cuteness melt my heart.
