Autumn is my most favorite season. Cooler temperatures, colorful leaves, the start to the holiday season (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) and pumpkin everything – I love it all!
There is something else I look forward to each fall season – pumpkin ravioli at Bonefish Grill. Have you tried it before? It’s amazing! I actually do look forward to it each year. It’s only available for a short period of time.
Bonefish Grill is celebrating National Seafood Month with special menu items and deals.
The fresh fish experts at Bonefish Grill are catching the spirit of National Seafood Month this October, offering guests a celebratory Dine & Discover menu featuring seasonal fresh fish and seafood dishes.
To celebrate National Seafood Month, Bonefish Grill created a three-course dinner for two priced at $50 featuring a choice of entree, complemented by signature appetizer Bang Bang Shrimp and a delectable dessert to share – designed to delight the taste buds. Entrees include fall favorite Fresh Swordfish with Pumpkin Ravioli, NEW Wild Snapper & Shrimp, NEW Cedar Plank Maple Bourbon Salmon and regional wood-grilled fish selections.
To accompany the seasonal dishes, a selection of wines given top 90 point ratings by well-known wine experts are available for $9 per glass to please even the most discerning palates. A 90 point rating indicates that a wine is outstanding and of superior character and style. Guests can enjoy Trapiche “Broquel” Malbec, Charles & Charles Cabernet Blend, Eroica Reisling and King Estate “Signature Collection” Pinot Gris, or choose from handcrafted cocktails including the seasonal Fall Apple and Fresh Pear Martinis, filled with the flavors and aromas of the season.
Another interesting thing Bonefish Grill is doing this month is partnering with ReCork.
During Dine & Discover, Bonefish Grill has partnered with ReCORK, an alliance of individuals and businesses working together to collect and recycle natural corks. With roughly 3,000 drop-off locations, more than 8,000 new cork trees planted, and over 70 million natural corks collected, ReCORK aims to be a point of interaction for education around cork recycling and sustainability.
Me, my husband and our son visited our local Bonefish Grill this weekend. Our daughter was going to come with up but she ended up making other plans.
I didn’t even need to look at the menu. I knew exactly what I was going to get before we even got there – Fresh Swordfish with Pumpkin Ravioli. Yum! Yum! Yum!
Normally we start off our meals with a house salad. Our son asked if he could get an appetizer too. He was really in the mood for friend calamari. He hasn’t had it in ages. Since we’ve never tired the calamari from Bonefish Grill before I went ahead and ordered it.
Bonefish Grill’s calamari is flash-fried with red pepper strips and a sweet, spicy Asian sauce. Calamari is squid. It sounds gross, but it tastes amazing.
I was in love with the Asian sauce! I was dipping bread into it because I could get enough of it. Our lovely waitress, Neka, said she would bring me more with my entree if I wanted it. I was tempted! LOL!
By the way… the warm bread with olive oil and seasoning to dip it in is always a family favorite.
I ordered the Fresh Swordfish with Pumpkin Ravioli. My husband ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl (Marinated chicken, fried rice, mango salsa, macadamia nuts, lightly drizzled with Pan Asian sauce) and our son opted for Alaskan Cod Fish & Chips.
My husband orders the Chicken Teriyaki Bowl from Bonefish Grill often. It’s one of his favorite menu items. I haven’t tried it yet, but he tells me it’s delicious (obviously or he wouldn’t order it often). This is also a great option for those who are not especially fond of seafood (the only seafood my husband will eat is tuna fish).
I took a photo of his bowl (below). He had already been eating it when I snapped the photo (there was more in the bowl than pictured).
Please excuse the quality of my photos. The lighting in the restaurant is low so it’s not the best lighting for snapping photos.
I was surprised by the HUGE portion my son received with his Alaskan Cod Fish & Chips. It was so much that he took some home (an enjoyed it for lunch earlier today). Keep in mind my son is teenager, and teen age boys tend to eat a lot. This portion filled him up. That’s a great thing
Just look at those HUGE pieces of fish WOW!
I couldn’t wait to dive into my dinner.
The Swordfish is cooked to perfectly. It’s a thick piece of fish (meaty), making it a hearty choice. It’s topped with crispy onions, crumbled feta cheese and a hint of butter.
The green beans are the perfect compliment to the Swordfish. The buttery sauce from the fish mixes in with the beans making them taste amazing too.
For me, the super star of the meal is the Pumpkin Ravioli. It is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!
If the Pumpkin Ravioli was available as a main meal (like a bowl) I would order that in a heartbeat. In fact, I would order another one to take home and enjoy the next day.
If you have never experienced Bonefish Grill’s Pumpkin Ravioli, you are missing out on a fabulous experience. Mere word cannot describe how incredibly delicious the Pumpkin Ravioli is. Let me put it to you this way – I anxiously wait for it to be made available every year. It’s that good!
Neka, our waitress, told us that she’s heard customers liken it to a dessert because of the sweetness of the pumpkin. As odd as it sounds, I could see the Pumpkin Ravioli being served as a dessert.
My husband and I were craving French Fries, so we ordered a side of fries too.
The fries were very crispy. I thought I heard Neka, our waitress, say they were coated with sugar to give them extra crispiness, but I could be wrong about that. In any event, they were crispy without being hard, while maintaining a soft interior. They were delish!
We were too full for dessert (our son took half his meal home). If I had room I would have ordered the Pumpkin Brûlée that I saw on the menu. That sounded real good.
Sadly, the seasonal menu items and the $50 three course meal for two are only available until the end of October. If you would like to enjoy these you need to hurry over to your neighborhood Bonefish Grill.
To find a location near you (or to check out other menu items) visit BonefishGrill.com. You can also check them out on social media (the links are on the bottom right of their website).
Are you a fan of Bonefish Grill? Have you ever tried their Pumpkin Ravioli? What is your favorite menu item? Feel free to share your thoughts. I always love to hear from readers.
