In addition to Disney’s Mickey’s Christmas Carol, which is also available today (see my review post here), is another delightful family holiday movie – Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year.
Cute! Cute! Cute! I absolutely loved this movie.
Pooh and all his friends at the Hundred Acre Woods are gathering on Christmas Eve to have a tree trimming party and to exchange gifts. Before Pooh can let his friends inside he has to hide Piglet’s gift (which he later forgets where he put it).
As the friends enjoy decorating the tree they share with Roo a story about a Christmas that almost never was. This tale is sort of like a movie within the movie.
The next day the friends enjoy Christmas day followed by gearing up for Rabbit’s New Year’s Eve party. Rabbit gets annoyed by everyone and threatens to leave the Hundred Acre Woods. To appease him the friends try and change for him such as Piglet being less afraid, Eeyore being less gloomy and Tigger not bouncing anymore. Let’s just say it doesn’t last for very long.
This is a wonderful holiday movie that your entire family will enjoy – both young and old. It really puts you in the holiday spirit. It’s also an adorable way to be reminded that the holidays is all about family, friends and making memories.
The bonus features include sing along songs you can sing along with the movie. They are classic holiday songs (like Jingle Bells), except they have been “Poohified” (meaning the lyrics were changed around a bit).
Disney Blu-ray set also has Disney Intermission. I ended up watching the DVD version (not the Blu-ray version) so I was unable to try out this feature.
Here is a clip from the movie.
Look for Winnie the Pooh: A Very Merry Pooh Year available on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital Download where ever movies are sold. This would make a wonderful holiday gift and/or addition to your family’s holiday movie collection.
Here is another Disney holiday clip for your enjoyment.

I really like Eeyore. Love the pic of him trying to fit through door with wreath on. This would be cute to see this season

My son, even at 14, still like Winnie the Pooh. We have several of the movies and I’m sure this one will make it to our shelf soon enough.

This would definitely make a great Christmas gift, wrap it and put it under the tree, so it can be unwrapped on Christmas Day and you can pop it in and watch it immediately.

Yes I still love the Pooh Bear and have him in his cute little sweater on my bed to prove it. A very merry Pooh year–too fun. I will look for this one at holiday shopping time.
