I will admit that I am not always a fan of make up. I wear it, but I’m not always keen about it. I don’t like my skin feeling heavy because it’s coated with make up.
The very first thing I do when I get home from work (literally, even before I eat dinner) is wash my face to remove all my make up.
Dare I say that I will leave the house without wearing make up. Not often, but if I only need to make a quick trip to the grocery store, why would I want to get all done up?
With all of that being said, there are times where I do want to look my best. In fact, I want to look even better than I would normally look with make up, most especially on special occasions (date night, out with friends…). It’s those special occasions that I like to add a bit more “glitz and glamour” to my look.
I was recently introduced to a brand that does just that. It gives you some thing “extra” when it comes to make up. The brand is called Pretty Vulgar Cosmetics. I must say, I love the name. I found it very intriguing because when I think of the word “vulgar” I think of something that is offensive. Trust me, this make up is far from offensive. If anything it’s fun!
I was sent some products to review. I received the following products.
Pretty Vulgar’s Glitter Dust is the extra touch to complete any glam look. Add a little sparkle or add a lot, this Glitter Dust is a silky smooth powder that contains light-reflecting pearls for a radiant finish. Suitable for hair, face, body and even décolletage, this fine shimmer dust is a sophisticated highlight for radiance from head to toe. The elegant antique component finely dusts you with our weightless formula, leaving no uncomfortable residue.
Sophisticated highlight with super fine shimmer from head to toe – contains light reflecting pearls for radiant finish – suitable for hair, face, décolletage & body.
I am MADLY IN LOVE with this product! I cannot rave about it enough.
Glitter Dust is exactly what you think it is… glitter dust that you spritz on your body to add sparkle and shine.
Pretty Vulgar Cosmetic’s Glitter Dust comes in a bottle that reminds me of antique perfumes. My great-grandmother and grandmother had perfumes in similar bottles. There is a “bulb” on top that you squeeze to release the glitter dust inside, just like you would with the antique perfume bottles. I love it!
How much glitter dust that comes out depends on how much strength you use to squeeze the “bulb.” If you squeeze it lightly, just a little glitter dust comes out. If you squeeze it hard, a lot will come out.
I wear body glitter (and similar products) often, most especially in the warmer weather when I have more exposed skin. I love it when my skin looks shimmery.
I have worn some obnoxious looking body glitter before. The kind that resembles craft glitter. That is not the case with this product. It adds a nice shimmer to your skin. It’s lovely!
A little bit goes a long way too.
After I am done with this bottle I am going to keep it because I adore the antique look to it. It brings back great memories of my great-grandmother and grandmother.
Vixen Glimmer holographic liquid eyeliner is a long-wearing, quick drying, water-resistant eyeliner that offers a multi-reflective glitter finish and a beautiful prismatic color effect. Our glitter liquid eyeliner formula was designed to provide a smooth, even application that will glide on effortlessly to give you a comfortable, flake-free, and transfer-proof hold.
This is a unique product. It’s a liquid eyeliner (but not in the traditional sense) that comes in a cool bottle that reminds me of an ink pen (I’m not sure why). The bottle is small, but, you don’t need a lot of this product. The wand end is sparkly. It reminds me of metal (but it’s not).
It doesn’t line your eyes with black (or similar color) but rather it lines them with a shimmery liquid.
This product is great when you want to add some interest to your eyes. The product creates a pretty, prismatic effect when applied.
I have used this a few times to add a bit of shimmer to the outside of my eyes, where most people create a “wing.” I just add some there to give my eyes some sparkle, but not in an over powering way.
Too bad my glasses ruin the look I go for when using this product. I don’t think you can see it as well as you could if I wasn’t wearing glasses.
This is not something I would use often, but I am certainly going to use it every time I get dressed up (date night, night out with friends…).
CEO of Lip Gloss is lightweight & made with 3% Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate), Antioxidants & hydrating Esters that will intensely hydrate your lips. It will also improve the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, skin elasticity & stimulate cell regeneration. A gelled emollient matrix technology ensures a non-tacky feel that won’t run or feather. It glides on smoothly for a lush, hydrated appearance, silky smooth texture & high-shine finish that will leave you being the CEO of Lip Gloss.
This lip gloss comes in a tube/wand, much like most lip glosses. However, the packaging for this lip gloss is SO PRETTY! The wand handle features beautiful flowers. I love that the brand put extra thought into making a pretty lip gloss tube and not just a plain looking one.
I received the color called “Money Moves.” It’s a golden-honey looking color (for lack of a better description). It’s also available in four other colors.
I tried to take a picture of how it looks on, but it didn’t turn out well. It’s very sparkly. Along with the pretty color lip gloss, there are little flecks of what appears to be glitter dust in this lip gloss. The one I have how a reddish/dark pink glitter dust in it (or so it would appear).
This lip gloss is a bit heavy for my preference (I prefer something lighter) but it is nice and I plan on wearing it when I get dressed up. It’s not something I would personally wear every day (I just wear a plain lip balm most days).

You’ll nice that their products are visually appealing. There was much thought put into the design of each and every product. They are all so very pretty.
