Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip, brings our favorite chipmunks together for another hilarious adventure. This might be their biggest adventure to date.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip stars Jason Lee, Justin Long (Alvin), Matthew Gubler (Simon), Jesse McCarthy (Theodore), Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Josh Green, Bella Thorne, Kaley Cuoco (Eleanor), Anna Faris (Jeanette) and Christina Applegate (Brittany).
Alvin and the Chipmunks want to throw a birthday party for their guardian Dave. In true chipmunk fashion the party gets crazy and way out of control. When Dave shows up he is horrified by the commotion and gives the chipmunks a big lecture about their behavior.
Dave also lets the chipmunks know that they are going to meet his girlfriend, Shira (Williams-Paisley) and they MUST be on their very best behavior.
Shira is nice and all, but it’s her son, Miles (Green), that the chipmunks are not happy about. He’s very mean to them.
The chipmunks also worry that Dave won’t love them anymore if he happens to marry Shira.
Dave and Shira head off to Miami and the chipmunks are worried he’s going to propose to her. They need to stop him before its too late. But how will they to Miami?
The chipmunks get an unlikely “partner in crime” – Shira’s son Miles, the boy that the chipmunks don’t want to be their brother. The feeling is mutual because Miles doesn’t want to be related to them and he certainly doesn’t want Dave to be his father.
The group head off to Miami to stop Dave from doing something that could change all their lives. They first attempt to fly to Miami, but their crazy hijinks get them booted off the plane and put on the FBI’s “No Fly” list – meaning they are legally not allowed to fly on planes.
Their next option is to drive down. Imagine those crazy chipmunks on a road trip, or should I say “road chip?”
Strap on your seat belts for the wildest road trip you have ever been on.
Will the chipmunks make it to Miami in time to stop Dave? Will Dave and Shira get married? To find out you need to pick up a copy of Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip where ever movies are sold.
This is a fun movie for the entire family. I should caution you that there is a lot of “gross humor” (fart jokes, poop jokes, burps…) and there are a few women that could be dressed a bit more, but other than that the movie is OK for the whole family.
There are A LOT of musical numbers in this film. It’s probably the most musical Alvin and the Chipmunks movie to date (at least of the ones I have seen). There is a lot rap/pop type music. My favorite is their rendition of Uptown Funk (Bruno Mars).
Of the Alvin and the Chipmunks movies I have seen to date, this one has to be my favorite. I love the story line.
There are plenty of bonus features worth checking out too.
