The song and video is about how much us bloggers (myself include) enjoy getting comments from our readers. It’s true! I personally getting comments from my blog readers too.

Although I love getting positive comments, I suppose even if you had something negative to say that is fine too. After all it’s constructive criticism, right?

Did I say something funny? Or maybe something that made you think? Perhaps I shared a great tip or a yummy recipe that you tried and enjoyed? I would to hear about it.

I do get a lot of comments when it comes to giveaways, but it would be nice to get comments on other non-giveaway posts too.

Whenever I read other blogs I try and leave comments as often as I can. Even if it’s just something simple.

Check out here, http://www.tellingdad.com/2010/say-the-things/.

If you want to read the lyrics here they are…

We probably shouldn’t post this,
But it’s time that we declared,

Even though we love to read comments,
Few words are ever shared.

If it’s great and you don’t say it,
It’s not possible for us to know you cared.

Some feel their blog is, done in vain
But this is something you can change

If you just shared down here,
And say the things we want out of you!

And say the things we want out of you, oh you!

“You’re great!” “You’re blessed!” “Your blog’s the best!”“I’m in love!” “So impressed!”

“You make me laugh!” “You make me cry!”“You always share great things to buy!”

“Your words, they’re gold!”“When they crafted you, they broke the mold.”

“I’ll Tweet it to everyone I know.”

“And to prove to you how much I love what you do,Here’s a comment for you.”

It’s awkward when it’s silent,
After all we had to write,

By adding just a few words,
You can help us sleep at night.

Take a minute, just to write it.
Please express it, if you liked it.
Let’s be clear

It keeps us coming back
When you show us love down here

And say the things we want out of you!

We don’t need validation,
On every post we write,

But comments are a great way to tell us that you like…
All the things we’re sharing with you!

Our lives, our news, product reviews,
How to win a Disney Cruise.

Some funny jokes, some tugged heartstrings
And how to save money on lots of things.

The food we cook,
A wonderful book, our brand new look.

We’d love to see your comments down below.

And there’s one thing we’ll all say when you do.
And that is “Thank You”. Thank you.

Greg (Telling Dad) has a great blog. Also, if you don’t read the other blogs that helped to put this video together you should. They are some pretty amazing bloggers.

Another blogger who wanted to participate in the video but the video didn’t work well was Frantic Mommy.
