Are you a salad lover? I am. In fact my whole family enjoys salad, especially when it’s filled with all of our favorite veggies and topped off with a delicious dressing.
Salad is not only good for you (it’s a great way to get in your veggies), but it can also fill you up so you don’t need to worry about over eating at meal time.
There are so many salad dressings available on the market, but not all dressings are created equal.
A few times my husband picked up dressings that were either store brand (generic) or on sale. Some were “OK” but they didn’t have that freshly made appeal to them. That is why we like dressings from Litehouse.
Litehouse dressings are found in the produce aisle (at least in stores around here) and must be kept cold in order to keep it fresh and flavorful. Look for it in the cool area of the product section (where they house perishable foods).
We have been using Litehouse dressing for years, not only for salads, but also as a dip for Crudités or to go along with a snack, like baby carrots. Litehouse ranch dressing is a family favorite.
Litehouse now offers organic varieties of dressing. The flavors include;
- Organic Lemon Herb
- Organic Balsamic
- Organic Ginger with Honey
- Organic Ranch
- Organic Caesar
- Organic Raspberry Lime
- Organic Rosemary Balsamic
Mmm… Caesar and Balsamic are also favorites of mine.
And new to the Organic family is Litehouse Organic Spoonables. Litehouse Organic Spoonable dressings are available in a glass jar, in four classically-delicious and top-selling flavors: Organic Blue Cheese, Organic Ranch, Organic Caesar and Organic Coleslaw.
Unlike many organic dressing options, which are thinner, vinaigrette-style dressings, Litehouse developed more traditional, thick and creamy options. I can tell you from personal experience that the new organic line is really creamy. They are “oh-so-good!”
I was sent some of the new organic line to try out with my family. I was sent to review Organic Ranch, Organic Blue Cheese, Organic Lemon Herb and Organic Rosemary Balsamic.
The spoonable dressings (Ranch and Blue Cheese) are not only ideal for topping off your salad, but they are also great to use as a dip. You can seven use them as dip for chips and crackers too.
Litehouse organic dressings are certified by USDA Organics. They are also non-GMO and Gluten free. They all must be kept refrigerated too.
We’ve tried all of the dressings sent to us, except I didn’t personally try the Blue Cheese. I’m not a fan of Blue Cheese (yuck!). Only our daughter likes Blue Cheese.
The Organic Ranch Dressing is AWESOME! Thick, rich and creamy and packed with flavor. I love it!
The Organic Lemon Herb and Organic Rosemary Balsamic dressings are great on salads too, but I have been using them mostly to marinate and add flavor to meats such as chicken and pork. I just use them like a normal marinade to set them absorb some of the flavor. After cooking the meat I drizzle a little more of the dressings on top.
Both dressing are totally DELISH when used with meats. Mmm…!!!
I have been a fan of Litehouse dressings for many years. The brand is a favorite of mine and my family’s. Even though I received items to review, we DO purchase Litehouse products on a regular basis. Now we can add the organic line to our regular purchases too.
Even though summer is over, and fresh veggies are getting harder to find (we like to shop at the local farms) you can still find all the ingredients you need at your local grocery store. Or you can pick up pre-packaged salads like Fresh Express, which is another “go-to” brand that we use often. I like that they offer a variety of salads, not just “plain.”
I’m a carrot lover, so I tend to pick up Fresh Express Double Carrots. I also buy a lot of the Fresh Express Baby Spinach for salads, recipes and just to eat as a snack. I’m lucky that both of my kids enjoy spinach (and broccoli too!).

Have you ever tried Litehouse dressings before? If so, do you have a favorite?

I don’t believe I’ve ever tried this brand, but I am adding it to my shopping list now. I’m a big fan of salads, especially during warm weather.
