Can CBD Oil Help My Stress?

As we embrace a new year, we habitually open the flood gates with the constant reminders and inspirations of “new year, new you.” Whether that means setting a goal to lose that stubborn 15 pounds or setting personal boundaries, we are on the prowl for improvement… for becoming the best versions of ourselves. For that very reason, we want to rephrase the overused mantra and view it through the lens of a “new year, better you.”

One easy way to start feeling good is to practice self-care. For moms, specifically, this can be very challenging as we seem to always place our needs at the very bottom of our list of priorities. With the never-ending planning, preparing, errands, playdates, activities, drop-offs and so forth, it can feel like we are on a hamster wheel. It is stressful, taxing and exhausting. Am I right? That’s where Pure CBD Oil and Hemp Extract Oil comes into the picture as research and scientific studies are showing the benefits CBD may have on managing everyday stresses to support greater focus, clarity and calm. What mom doesn’t want that?

What is CBD Oil?

CBD (scientifically referred to as Cannabidiol) is one of 100+ known cannabinoids found in the hemp plant. CBD, as well as other naturally occurring cannabinoids, are shown to interact with the body’s endocannabinoid system to help restore balance and physiological homeostasis.

The cannabinoids, including CBD, are first extracted from the raw hemp plant to be consumed and used in oils, tinctures, edibles, capsules and topical creams. CBD Oil and Hemp Extract Oil are amongst the most preferred methods of consumption due to bioavailability, efficacy and fast-acting relief.

How Does CBD Help Stress?

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) performed testing trials and released a report in 2019 that showed CBD full spectrum cbd oil decreased stress in animals. The subjects were observed and CBD was credited for improving their behavioral and physiological symptoms including breathing and heart rate levels.

CBD is shown to affect the CB1 receptors in the brain, which may also impact serotonin. Low serotonin levels are found in those suffering from depression or anxiety. Medications for low serotonin levels like Zoloft of Prozac are not natural and synthetically alter the chemicals produced by the brain. If you are concerned about synthetic medications impacting the brain’s chemical production, CBD and other cannabinoids in Hemp Extract Oil may be a great alternative. As always, safety is of our utmost concern so please consult with your doctor before making changes to your medications, or if you are interested in supplementing CBD Oil in lieu of these medications.

New Year, Better You

It can be hard to shine when we are tired, anxious, stressed or suffering from pain. CBD Oil may be a real solution to these real-life problems. Make yourself a priority this year, where you focus on your health—mentally and physically—because when we are healthy, we are happy. And when we feel our best, we do our best; for ourselves and others. Combining regular exercise and a healthier diet, supported with daily CBD routine may just be the perfect trifecta for finding greater relief from stress. Here’s to a year with less stress and better health.
