I watch the television series Shark Tank often. I always love seeing products I was sent to review appear on the show, especially before they become mainstream. I also enjoy learning about new products because you just never know what cool new product or invention will come along and make your life easier and/or more fun.
In one episode I saw a product called a ChompSaw from Chompshop. The first time I saw it I thought it was hands down one of the coolest products I have seen on the show.
In a nutshell, the ChompSaw is a cardboard cutting product that allows children to safety and easily cut pieces of cardboard (up to two pennies thick) in order to make a variety of creations.
ChompSaw by Chompshop is a kid-safe power tool designed to help children cut cardboard and build creative projects. Engineered with safety at its core, the ChompSaw empowers young inventors to explore hands-on building and STEAM concepts without the risks associated with traditional tools. The product uses a rapid hole-punching mechanism that safely cuts cardboard without posing any risk, even if touched directly. No need to worry about fingers, hair or clothes getting caught. There is a metal guard and no exposed spinning parts that could catch or pull. Kids love working with cardboard to express their creativity and scissors and box cutters don’t quite make the cut. Great for kids aged 3+. As seen and invested on Shark Tank.
Check out this brief video to learn more about it.
As a parent, and someone who works with children, I can see great value in this product. Not only does it repurpose cardboard and give it new life, but it also prompts a child’s creativity and imagination. As an adult, I can think of fun ways to use this too!
This product also promotes S.T.E.A.M (Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) principals, which is being taught in most schools these days.
I thought many readers might be interested in a contest the brand is currently hosting. You DON’T need a ChompSaw to enter (but it would make things easier…).
