Does your family enjoy playing games? I don’t mean video games (although they can be fun too). I am referring to board games.
Growing up, my cousins and I played board games all the time. We’d spend hours playing the classics like Monopoly and Life (games that typically take a while to complete). We also enjoyed quick games like the card game “War” and one of my favorites, Don’t Spill the Beans (if you are my age, you probably remember that game).
Games have changed a lot over the years, but that is a good thing. There is such a wonderful variety of board games people can play these days. I especially like games that a large age range can play together (meaning children, teens and adults can play the same game together).
My family and I used to play a lot of board games. Sadly, my children are young adults now and are too busy with their jobs, college and friends. These days I look for games that my husband and I can play by ourselves.
A while back I was sent two really cool games to review. You might want to check them out for yourselves. Perhaps you’ll add them to your family/friend game night.
Who’s the G.O.A.T.? comes with six irresistible squishy goats that are used to complete some of the off-the-wall physical challenges in the game. Along with the physical fun, verbal and written challenges offer everyone the chance to be the G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time). Who’s the G.O.A.T.? allows friends and family to discover each other’s hidden talents and is fun for all ages. (Ages 8+, SRP $24.99).
This game is A LOT of fun. It’s very silly and it’s sure to get everyone laughing.
Last year my husband and I spent the weekend with my cousin, and my other cousins and aunt came over to play a game. We laughed so hard that we were crying. The next time we go to my cousin’s house for the weekend I am taking this game with us. This is THE PERFECT game if you want a lot of laughs.
This game is not for shy people, per say. There are some physical things that cards ask if you are the best at (Greatest of All Time), but there are also cards that don’t require you to physically do something.
Who’s the Goat comes with about 200 cards, so you won’t get bored of this game quickly. The game will constantly change depending on the cards and the people you are playing with.
None of these challenges are hard, and pretty much everyone is capable of doing them (some better than others). I think it’s funnier when someone isn’t the best at a challenge. It just adds to the laughs.
Tossing around the adorable goats is fun too.
Bye, Felicia! is a fun, fast-paced word association party game that can be played in just 20 minutes. Be prepared for lots of laughs as players try to guess what others are thinking. Do great minds really think alike? If not, players are good heartedly dismissed by saying, “Bye, Felicia!” (Ages 12+, SRP $17.99).
I had to find out what “Bye, Felicia” stood for. Apparently it’s a line from a film. I’m not sure why that was chosen, but whatever. The game is still fun.
Bye Felicia is a fast pace game that really gets you thinking. I like that it makes you “think” and it’s not just “mindless” fun.
Some “questions” are easier to come up with answers to than others. But that is OK. As long as you match your answer with another person, you can still stay in the game.
There are dozens of cards, and each card has more than one category. I’m sure it will be a long time before you repeat a question.
I can see why this game is recommended for ages 12+. Younger children CAN answer the “questions,” they just might not have as many “answers” to them since they have not lived life that long, and have had the same amount of experiences as adults.
I would recommend more than three players, if possible. We played this with our son (me, my husband and our son) and I think having another person or two would have made this game even more interesting.
Both games are a lot of fun, and they would definitely make great holiday gifts.
If you love to have game night with family and friends, you should consider adding both games to your collection.
Look for Who is the G.O.A.T and Bye, Felicia, where ever games are sold.
Both of these games are by Big G Creative. You can check out other games they offer at BigGCreative.com.
Big G Creative has so many cool games including a Brady Bunch Game, Bob Ross Game, Carpool Karaoke Game and a super cool three game set featuring a Kraft Mac and Cheese game. I love it!
