Remember the good old days when you can walk into any grocery store and purchase a bottle of disinfectant spray, or disinfectant wipes? It’s been so long that I’m beginning to think I’ve imagined being able to do that.
This pandemic has made people CRAZY. Who needs 100 rolls of toilet paper, and where are all the cleaning product? Sigh…
I’ve always been concerned about disinfecting my home, long before COVID and Corona were a part of our vocabulary. Every time I cleaned our home I would spray or wipe down frequently touched surfaces (door knobs, remotes, light switches…) so that I could protect my family from germs, bacteria and viruses.
I never really gave much thought to what these products were made of, and what they could do to our health in the long run.
Have you ever read the bottle of a disinfectant spray? I don’t recognize any of those ingredients, so how am I suppose to know what they are truly doing to us? Sure, they might protect you from this virus or that cold… but what can they be GIVING us in exchange?
I recently learned about a brand called Clean Republic. They are challenging our beliefs that we “need” a lot of chemicals in our homes in order to clean them and protect our families from germs and viruses.
Clean Republic products are less toxic, effective, nature-derived disinfectants and cleaners.
According to the brand;
We had already received an EPA endorsement of our Disinfectant + Sanitizer, for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, as well as MRSA, HIV, and Norovirus. When commercial cleaning companies wanted the same product that worked for hospitals, we delivered.
When homes and families wanted Clean Republic, we created a Home Strength All Purpose Cleaner for everyday use, On-the-Go formula, and Hand Cleanser.
I’m very impressed that their disinfectant and sanitizer have been endorsed by the EPA, and it includes the virus that causes COVID-19.
And get this… a gallon on their Disinfectant + Sanitizer (ready to use!) is only $29.95 (plus shipping). If you are lucky to find any place that sells the popular disinfectant spray brand (I won’t mention them here, but most people know who I’m referring to), you are probably going to pay dearly for it. I’ve heard of people “price gouging” that brand’s product from triple (or more!) of what a gallon of Clean Republic’s product costs. Not only that, a gallon goes a long way.
With Clean Republic’s product, you can use a regular spray bottle. Because of that, you are not polluting our environment and atmosphere with aerosols. It’s a win-win situation if you ask me.
I was sent a gallon of Clean Republic’s Disinfectant + Sanitizer to try out for myself.
I’m not a scientist, and I don’t have any way of testing to see if a product does what it say’s its suppose to do (disinfect and kill viruses), but I can tell you that that I am enjoying it.
You can use this product to clean and disinfect surfaces (providing that they are not too soiled), which saves time when cleaning. It can also be used on a variety of surfaces, so you can use it in every room of your home. So far I’ve only been using it in the kitchen, bathroom and to clean up the occasional cat vomit/hairballs on our living room floor.
I have to be careful with scented products around my husband. He gets migraines from certain scents. I honestly don’t smell anything when using this product. It’s scent free. If it does have a scent, I certainly don’t smell it.
I enjoy the fact that I am not only cleaning and disinfecting surfaces in my home, but I am also protecting my family from “who-knows-what-they-do-to-you” chemicals that are used on other brand name products.
I would certainly purchase from Clean Republic. I like their product. I like that it’s ready to use – no mixing or measuring required. Simply fill your spray bottle and start using the product.
Clean Republic sells other products including hand sanitizer (in a really unique package), all purpose cleaner, and even spray bottles.
