Now available on digital (Prime Video, Apple TV and Fandango…) is the epic, high octane film, Deadpool & Wolverine. The film will be avaiable on Blu-ray, DVD and Ultra 4K on October 22, 2024.
The film stars Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Leslie Uggams, Emma Corrin, Rob Delaney, Morena Baccarin, Chris Evans, Jennifer Garner, Wesley Snipes, Channing Tatum and a plethora of other amazing actors.
Normally I write my own movie synopsis, but sometimes I feel like the official ones are better because they are more to the point and don’t giveaway any spoilers.
Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date – Deadpool & Wolverine. A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his home world faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit up again with an even more reluctantlier… reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to… oh hell, just watch the movie. Synopses are stupid.
“Synopsis are stuipd.” I love that. That comes directly from the studio too. Ha Ha.
There is a good reason why Deadpool & Wolverine is the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time at the global box office. It’s only the second U.S. R-rated movie to reach $1 billion, following Joker. This film has it all – action, comedy, adventure, kick-a$$ fight scenes, amazing special effects, mind-blowing sets and of course a plethora of a-listers.
I’ve always been a fan of Deadpool. I also like Wolverine because I met Hugh Jackman in person (lovely man – always smiling). To bring these two together, it just makes perfect sense. Like peanut butter and jelly, or soap and water. The two characters are nothing a like, yet they work perfectly together. Deadpool is his normal comedic, wise cracking self, and Wolverine is just crotchety and grumpy.
First and foremost, Marvel didn’t skimp on the special effects or sets. I joked with my husband while watching the film that you could probably feed a small country with what must have been spent on these things. Then again it’s Marvel – you wouldn’t expect anything less. Seeing as how this film was destined to be epic, it’s only natural that only the best sets and special effects would do. They are mind-blowing and awesome!
I laughed so much during this film. I normally find Deadpool movies funny, but this film far exceeded what I’d expect as far as humor. Some of the humor is crude, but for the most part it’s all fun and games. There are even some snarky jabs are certain companies that I won’t mention.
In my opinion, this is the best Deadpool move yet.
Don’t get me started on Hugh Jackman. Holy moly… he brought his “guns” to this film (his muscular arms). Forget about a six pack… he looks like he has an eight pack! The man is 55 years old with the body of a Greek God. Eye candy for sure!
I didn’t know that other superheroes would be in this film (Elektra and Blade). I was pleasantly surprised to see them. I never would have expected for those characters to make it into one of these films.
I’m not sure about Channing Tatum’s character. I don’t know if he’s from another film, or this is his first appearance in a Marvel film. He plays the character of Gambit.
I was thrilled to see Chris Evans in this film too. He’s not Captain America in this film but rather Johnny from the Fantastic Four.
This film is a great mixture of different superhero characters. I love it!
There is a lot of blood in this film. I think more blood than any other Marvel film. Personally I don’t mind, but some people might be a bit grossed out. There is a lot a lot of crude and raunchy humor. If you are familiar with Deadpool movies you know what to expect as far as the type of humor.
I LOVE seeding Dogpool in this movie. He’s so cute! He’s actually “Britain’s Ugliest Dog,” but I think he’s absolutely adorable! I love his little tongue sticking out.
Ms. Ryan Reynolds, aka Blake Lively, is also in this film. She’s in costume so it’s not easy to spot her. I knew what character she was prior to seeing this film, so I knew what to look for.
I cannot rave enough about this film. I LOVE it and I can’t wait to watch it again.
This film has a run time of 2 hours and 7 minutes. It’s rated R.
