Has your child written a letter to Santa yet? I remember doing that as a child. My “wish list” was always filled with a lot of toys from the Sears holiday catalog. Do you remember that catalog? If you do, you’re around my age. That catalog was the best.
I honestly don’t know what my mom did with the letters I wrote to Santa. I wish she was still alive. I’d love to ask her.
Did you know there are places you can send a letter to Santa? The United States Post Office (USPS) is one of them. It’s called USPS Operation Santa. You can learn more about it on the official USPS Operation Santa website (USPSOperationSanta.com). FYI… you can also read and adopt letters to help grant wishes for children. I didn’t know you can do that, so now I plan on checking it out to see if I can make a child’s wish come true. Seriously, just reading some of the letters breaks my heart. There are so many precious children out there who only wish for the simple things in life. One letter a child was asking for a nightlight and another letter the child asked for socks.
. Here are some key dates to remember.
- Monday, September 15: Letters can now be sent to 123 Elf Road, North Pole, 88888.
- Monday, November 3: Registration and ID verification for adopters begins.
- Monday, November 17: Letter adoption begins.
- Saturday, December 6: This is the last day to send letters. Letters must be postmarked by this date.
- Saturday, December 13: This is the last day to adopt letters before the website closes at 8pm ET. Send packages before this date to be sure they arrive by December 25, but the earlier the better to help families plan ahead.

I received the kit to review and I must say, this is a FUN kit. It has everything a child (or children) need to write the perfect letter to Santa. There is plenty of materials in this kit for more than one child, so if you have a few children at home, one kit should be fine. You can also keep and use this kit year after year until the included materials are exhausted.

I love this color your own “thank you” card. There are A LOT of “thank you” cards included in this kit.

I love that this kit included the “thank you” cards because it teaches children gratitude and being thankful and appreciative of the gifts they received.
There are also greeting card so you child/children can send holiday greetings to family and friends near and far.
Another great thing about this kit is that everything fits neatly inside so you can pack it away and store it safety without the contents going missing or getting damaged. That way it can be used again and again year after year.

The graphics are heart warming and oh-so-cute. They brought a smile to my face.
This kit makes me wish I was a kid again just so I can use the fun materials to write a letter to the jolly man in a red suit who lives up north with the elves and reindeer.
This kit has a retail price of $24.95 ($33.50 in Canada). For the amount of goodies you get with it (there’s even an ornament!), I think it’s very well worth the price.
