Do you only gift people presents, or do you also put gifts inside their stockings?
Admittedly we haven’t put gifts in stockings in years, but I do miss doing that.
When I was a child that stocking was just as exciting as the presents under the tree. Every year my stocking contained brand new Crayola crayons, coloring books, candy, small toys and an apple and an orange. That might not sound exciting, especially for today’s youth, but back in the day, that was a big deal.
When it comes to adult holiday stockings, sweet treats are often found inside. But what about savory treats? They are just as delicious as their sweet counterparts.
I think it’s often assumed that men like savory treats and women like sweet treats (I personally love chocolate). But I think women can enjoy savory treats, and my husband has a sweet tooth, so he liked sweet treats too.
If you are looking for a stocking stuffer idea, or a gift for a “Secret Santa,” friend, or co-workers, check out Old Trapper.
Old Trapper Deli Style Beef Sticks are the perfect delicious stocking stuffer this holiday season for any meat lover. With over 50 years of experience, Old Trapper has created the best high-protein, healthy, and delicious snack.
Old Trapper’s deli style beef sticks are available in Original, teriyaki, and jalapeno flavors and are naturally low in carbohydrates and sugar, with 9 grams of protein per serving.
In addition, Old Trapper also carries Beef Jerky in great flavors such as hot & spicey, peppered, teriyaki and even a low sugar style.
Old Trapper sent me some of their products to try out for myself. When I told my son, he was excited. He LOVES jerky, and was curious about trying out the beef sticks. When the package arrived and he saw what products we received, he couldn’t wait to tear into the packages to try them out.
We received Zero Sugar Beef Jerky, Old Fashioned Beef Jerky, Jalapeno Beef Sticks and Original Beef Sticks.
I’m not a fan of Jalapeno, so I didn’t try that flavor.
The Original Beef Sticks are a nice, hearty bite. They are very satisfying. I only eat one at a time and I find that just enough to satisfy my urge to chew something, as well as something savory. i could easily eat several of these at one sitting if I didn’t stop myself. My son on the other hand, I think he’d eat the entire bag at one time.
There is a brand of beef jerky stick that I will get from time to time from the check out at the grocery store (I’m sure you are familiar with the brand). These beef sticks have the same “snap” when you bite into them, but they are much more meatier and they don’t taste dried up. Hopefully that makes sense.
The jerky is really nice. It’s fresh tasting, not like other jerkies I have had in the past. Other jerkies often taste like meat flavored cardboard, but that was not the case here. Each piece had a nice chew to it. It wasn’t like eating cardboard at all.
When I compared the Zero Sugar to the Old Fashioned beef jerky I didn’t notice too much of a difference. I guess that is a good thing. There is a little difference, but I didn’t think it was that big of a deal. If you served me the Zero Sugar one and didn’t tell me, I’d think it was regular beef jerky.
The Zero Sugar variety is great for people who follow a low sugar, low carb diet.
I found these beef sticks and beef jerkies to be delicious and I can see myself purchasing more once the bags we have are done. I know my son would love that. He’s been eating some of these pretty much every day since I received them to review.
Old Trapper beef sticks are available nationwide at grocery and convenience store retailers with a suggested retail pricing of $14.
You can also purchase products from the brand’s website, www.OldTrapper.com.
