I love candles. My family will tell you that I am obsessed with candles. I have them in every room of our home, even in the kitchen and bathroom. I prefer scented candles, especially if they have a great fragrances that waft through the air, but I do have plenty of non-scented ones too. I find the flickering of the flame to be very relaxing. Watching a candle can literally make my stresses melt away (no pun intended).
We have eight (yes, eight) cats, so I am careful to only burn candles where someone is at the whole time. I won’t leave the room without blowing out a lit candle, just to be on the safe side. For rooms we might not be in the entire time (such as the bathroom, bedroom and kitchen), I use realistic battery operated candles.
Have you ever had an item you want to repurpose because it’s too nice to toss out? Personally I have several such items in my home. Most are out on display, but other things are waiting patiently in the closet, just waiting for me to find a new purpose for it.
A fun way to repurpose items is to turn them into candles. All you need is some wax and wicks. But, unless you plan on making a plethora of candles, who wants to buy pounds of wax and dozens of wicks? Not me.
Let me introduce you to Foton Pearled Candles. These slow-burning, plant-based wax pearls can be used in almost any container to create the perfect focal point at your next event, as well as decor around your home.

I absolutely LOVE this idea. I love that Foton Pearled Candles allow me to create a new candle with just about anything around my home (just makes sure it’s fire safe).
I LOVE the idea of using seashells for a summer-beachy vibe. Sadly, I don’t have any around my home. My son recently was at the beach and he looked for some but couldn’t find anything big enough. I may have to buy one from some where.
Foton Pearled Candle packages are available in 18 ounce and 9 POUND sizes. That’s a lot of candles! The nine pound size is great for weddings and corporate events.
I received the 18 ounce package to try out for myself.
Creating a candle was super easy.
The box contains tiny bits of wax that you pour into the container. I didn’t realize they were so tiny and opened the box up while sitting on the couch. I accidently spilled some out.
I also had an incident where one of my cats knocked the box over. Thankfully the lid was one but you really want to make sure that no one knocks the box, or the candle you create, over to avoid spilling the little wax pieces.
The first candle I made was done using a beautiful cat mug I had in my kitchen. I never used it as a mug (the ears made drinking from it uncomfortable), but it was too pretty to throw out.
I followed the instructions and created my first candle.
*PLEASE NOTE – I had to cut the wick down a bit, but I did that AFTER I took the photos. I neglected to do that when I took the photos.
I like that the package includes 30 wicks (each lasting up to 12 hours).
I found the quote on the wick box funny and appropriate – “Ignite your imagination.” Ha ha.
Now that I’ve used Foton Pearled Candles to create a candle out of a mug I loved, I’m looking at more things around my home to make a candle out of. I’m still going to purchase seashells from somewhere to make a candle out of them as well. I think shell-themed candles are ideal for summer time.
Foton Pearled Candles are available unscented, and in the following scents.

This would make a great gift too! I know it’s a little early, but I think this would make a great stocking stuffer and/or “Secret Santa” gift, or a gift for that person who have no idea what to buy them.
