Autumn is my favorite time of year. It’s not too hot, or too cold during the day and there is just enough chill in the air at night to cozy up with a snuggly blanket. I also love that it’s the start of the holiday season (Halloween kicks off the holidays, ending with New Year’s Eve). In addition, I am OBSESSED with anything that smells like fall, which is almost always something relating to pumpkins.
I am not a fan of pumpkin spiced drinks, but there are some pumpkin spice foods (treats) I enjoy, such as pumpkin spice Twinkies and pumpkin spice Cheerios.
If you are a fan of anything and everything pumpkin, you might want to check out the Pumpkin Spice Scrub from the brand Elina Organics. It’s a great way to “spice” up your beauty routine.
Elina Organics’ Pumpkin Spice Scrub – perfect for face and body to deeply renew skin and soothe dryness. Elina Organics’ Pumpkin Spice Scrub contains an intoxicating blend of organic pumpkin, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon to enrich your face and body with vitamins and antioxidants. These essential nutrients will calm your complexion, soothe dryness, decrease visible signs of aging, and make your skin soft.
This delicious exfoliator has antibacterial effects to flush out toxins while also increasing blood circulation, leaving you with visibly plumped and firm skin.
“Pumpkin is a classic source of natural skin brightening, polishing, and renewing enzymes, as well as beta keratin, a pre-curser plant source of Vitamin A and other anti-aging phytonutrients. It has a delightful seasonal organic fragrance that will put people in the mood for the holidays,” explains Elina Fedotova, celebrity esthetician and founder of Elina Organics Skincare & Spas, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2023. “Unlike other fruits and vegetables, the pumpkin can stay in your home as decoration for many weeks without looking aged or rotten. This proves that pumpkin holds robust youth-preserving properties of antioxidants.”
Blended with brown sugar, a natural glycolic acid source that deeply penetrates the skin and promotes new cell growth, this new Elina Organics’ scrub exfoliates the skin and is gentle enough for sensitive complexions. “The formula is combined with warming cinnamon, clove, and ginger, which all intensify micro-circulation, contain anti-bacterial properties, and have skin-warming and protective benefits,” Elina adds.
Elina Organics’ Pumpkin Spice Scrub is a highly concentrated and sophisticated formula whipped with shea butter and oils that will benefit and nourish the face, neck, and décolletage and entire body.
“The formula does not contain water, allowing us to preserve it naturally. It is enjoyable to use in the shower when wet and massage into the face, neck, elbows, hands, knees, or entire body,” Elina advises. “Afterward, you won’t even feel like you need to apply lotion because your skin will feel nourished, smooth, and hydrated, and you will smell so yummy!”
I was sent a jar of the pumpkin spice scrub to try out for myself. I was excited to try this out.
As for the scent, it does smell like pumpkin. I didn’t get the pumpkin spice vibe from it, but that is okay with me. It still smells like pumpkin and I am perfectly okay with that.
The first time I tried the scrub I used it on my body. I figured it was best to try it on my body first to see how well it worked. I didn’t want to put anything too abrasive on my face without trying it out elsewhere first.
I use an exfoliant scrub every time I take a shower. Perhaps I shouldn’t, but I feel like my skin looks and feels better when I use a scrub when I shower.
This scrub is very gentle. I LOVE THAT! I don’t like it when I use a scrub and feel the need to quickly use moisturizer the moment I step out of the shower to counter act the harsh feeling of an abrasive scrub. I did not feel that way at all when I used this scrub. It’s so gentle on the skin. It’s definitely a a scrub, but it’s a “kinder to your body” scrub, thankfully.
My skin felt great the day I took my shower with the scrub and the next day too. It’s as if it “coats” your skin in something that makes it feel soft and smooth. It’s very nice!
After I had the chance to see how it felt on my body, I figured my face was next. I had the same positive results on my face too.
I’m extra careful with scrubs on my face, which is why I tried it on my body first. You still need to make sure not to scrub too hard, as with any facial scrub.
My face feels great after I use this. As it is with my body, I don’t feel the need to rush to slap on a serum and moisturizer right after I use it.
I have used this on my hands too! My hands tend to get very dry (year round). I took a little bit of this scrub in my hand and worked it between both hands and rinsed it off. My skin didn’t feel as dry.
As someone who uses scrubs on her face and body year round, and pretty much every day, this scrub is one of my (new) favorites.
The only downside for me is that it’s not necessarily budget friendly. The jar costs $46.00. It’s worth every penny if you ask me, but, when you live on a tight budget, something like this is a luxury.
