With the hot and humid weather we’ve been having, the idea of drinking a hot beverage doesn’t sound all that appealing (unless you’re drinking it in an air conditioned room). Even thought it’s hot, I still enjoy hot beverages, most especially my morning coffee. After my morning coffee, my other drinks tend to be cold. However, from time to time I still want a hot beverage. I find drinking a hot beverage, regardless of the temperature outside, to be very soothing and relaxing. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate – it doesn’t matter. For me, it’s something I need to sooth my soul at the end of a rough day.
I grew up drinking tea. My mom is from the U.K. (specifically Wales). I was drinking afternoon tea with my mom before I was even a teenager. My mom gave me my love for tea.
I do prefer breakfast tea or Early Grey, but other flavors of tea are also refreshing.
I was sent to review a while back from tea from the brand Tea with Tae. It’s a fun way to sample different types of teas, including ones you might not normally try.
Tea with Tae teas come in pyramid shaped sachet tea bags that are biodegradable (I love that!).
Tea with Tae sells pre-made Bento boxes of tea, or you are welcome to customize your own Bento box from a nice assortment of teas.
There are so many teas to choose from, many of which I have never even heard of before (and piqued my interest).
Here are just a few examples of the available teas from Tea with Tae – Black, Green, Herbal, Oolong, Peppermint, Rooibos, Chai, Jasmine Green Tea, Calming Tea, Moroccan Mint, Coconut Oolong, Chocolate, Lavender Earl Gray and Caramel Rooibos, to name a few.
You can buy individual bags of one flavored teas, but I prefer their Bento box option because it gives you the opportunity to sample a variety of teas, or choose all of your favorites. The Bento box option allows you to choose up to six different teas (or multiples of the same versions).
If it’s hard to choose which teas to put in your Bento box, you can select a pre-made Bento box option. The pre-made Bento boxes come in Herbal, Sampler and Caffeinated Tea.
I received a Bento box to review.
The box is made out of tin, so you can repurpose it after you are done with your tea (I am going to use mind to house photos).
The box smelled so good when I first opened it. In fact, it still does even though I have opened it numerous times by now. That is a sure sign that the teas inside are freshly made. These are not grocery store teas that were manufactured months ago, and sitting on a store shelf ever since.
My box contains;
- Fruit and Berry Oolong – Fresh and fruity flavor.
- Bombay Chai – I LOVE this tea! It’s my favorite in this Bento Box. So delicious!
- Bedtime Bliss – Soothing, calming, tasty.
- Calming Tea – Soothing, calming and tasty, just like the Bedtime Bliss tea.
- Lemon Cream – Tasty. Needs more lemon. I squirt some extra lemon in this tea (my personal preference).
- Jasmine Green Tea – This is close to tying for my most favorite. The Jasmine is really prevalent in this tea, and I love it!
There is a card inside of the tin that tells you what teas you have, what temperature water works best for brewing the tea, and how many minutes to let the tea bag steep for.
I don’t have a thermometer to tell me how hot the water is that I am using, so I just hope that my tea kettle is giving me the correct temperature. I would think it is because all of the tea has tasted perfect to me.
I love this tea. It tastes like something you would get at a fine restaurant.
You can enjoy this tea flavored with sugar, honey, cream or milk, or drink it black. It’s totally up to you. I like a splash of lemon juice in my green tea, a tiny bit of sugar and milk in my black tea, and plain for the other flavors.
The tea comes in tin containers too that you can repurpose. Each tea tin comes with five tea bags, so you get a total of 30 servings of tea per Bento box. That’s a lot of tea.
I would definitely give a Bento box of tea from Tea with Tae as a gift for Mother’s Day, a new mom, a birthday or even Christmas. A box of premium, delicious tea would make a great gift for the tea lover in your life – including yourself.
